So, I'm looking around for ksro pvp videos.(there seems to be a lack of them on youtube, google video).

Anyway, in the ones I have seen, everybody dual wields. Usually they use a glaive for soul spear/mars, and a sword/shield for knockdown and defense when they aren't hitting. Also, these people have all been like lvl 90.... fully farmed, etc. So, I guess they've completely abandoned ice buffs, because they regularly switch on a shield.

So, I guess you could have three 90 masteries(Heuksal, Bicheon(Not sure on whether this should be 90 too), and then your elemental.(fire or lightning)
You can either have 30 lightning, or fire.

Also, all these people seem to have hotkeys. So, I'm thinking that 100% of the time they're not attacking, they have a shield on. (I guess all attack macros would be "switch to weapon < attck < switch to shield")

I can't really find any 1v1 ksro lvl 90 duels. But a friend of mine says that in ksro, pvping is all about ganging, and most 1v1s are very long.

So, anyone think there's anything to dual wielding higher up?

i think they have more that 300 mastery so they got to add mor stuff.

I didnt think that anyone got over 300 mastery yet, but i could very well be wrong. Im really thinking about doing a build like that myself, but im too caught up in my current character to start another one atm. If i get to the cap (or even close) i will probably start a dual Bow\Glaive Pure Str char cause i think that would be pretty sweet. With lvl90 though, you will only have enough room to get 3 of your skill trees to 90 so you have to choose wisely between speed and power (light & fire)

gargarmel said that there is no plan as of now to raise the max mastery cap, which means the mastery cap is 300 in kSRO at the moment.

Yea last time i played ksro the mastery cap was 300 at lvl 90.
Also the only dual wielding weapon build i could see working really
well would be sword + shield and spear (int), But i guess others could
work well to.

Lol I can't see it working without hotkeys. o_o .... I don't have 100 bucks for a g15, and software hotkeys would involve bypassing nprotect >_>

hey, you don't really have to waste $100 on a g15.. on e-bay they are half that.

well if your a str user you dont need to max all ur masteries to 90
only the weapon tree and the force tree containing ur imbue.

nukers is a little different, only need to max mastery with the nukes you use, and weapon is your choice.


But no the chinese race in ksro is capped at lvl 90 with 300 max mastery.
euro race is different, but they cant max more than 1 tree which makes each character unique. you can get 2 or 3 trees but it wont be maxed.
you gain mastery lvls as you lvl up ur character.

90/90 glave blade

65 fire (just for last imbue, & pure str wont do anymuch more dmg anyway w/ maxing the last imbue)

55 light (so u still get some speed)

screw ice, since w/ glave u get 1k hp bonus & w/ blade u get extra shield defence & block

& w/ glave/blade, when ur in glave u can have super mag.def. for 15s due to spear spinning skill & when ur in blade/shield u can have godly phy.def for 15s, so ice really isn't needed for pure str imo (& it's really hard for pure str of same or few lvls difference to kill each other anyway)

so here's how mine would work, start off w/ a blade/shield, kd=>stab=>stab=>stab, switch to glave, soul spear/ghost spear (probably use ghost spear for a quick big dmg finish if the opponent is a int)
& repeat till the sucker dies

since i'm blader rite now, i feel it a pain when i know after kd & 3 stabs i can kill some1 if blader had a quick big dmger move like ghost spear (even if the recovery is slow, it's about speed of execution when some1's hp is low), but then i would have to do another kd move (which is slow in execution, ><) & opponent usually survives for another 3 stabs or so.

& also i feel the pain of lvling as a blader, & just want the kd & stabs for pvp, ><, so y not use glave when ur out grinding & just use blade when it's pvp time

then again, equipment cost gold & u'll have three things to worry about, a good glave, blade, & shield

& u probably wont have to farm much more than a pure str blader, ^^, since u'll prob just need soul spear, ghost spear, flying dragon from glave & knockdown & stab from blade (no more getting chains until u farm out those skills & wanna max every skill to look cool)

IMO all the chains (especially blade) r way too flashy & used either for pve or to amaze the noobs, ^^

you need to farm alot regardless

i was pvping some str hybrid on tibet glavie and blade+shield dam long fights either she got lucky with a chain of good crits or the second time she won i had no pots left..yes it was a long fight

i made a topic so some oe give me some advice and i think the pvp is long becouse the chars are damn strong in that build and when they get in a battle
it look awsome its crashing and banging i love that no matter if i lose or win
im thinking about to make a

BLADE / GLAVIE / FIRE / LIGHTNING
90 / 90 / 90 / 30 /
OR 90 / 90 / 65 / 55

i am assuming for duel weapon build int= swd / spear....str = bow and blader?

and i kinda figured out why the ppl in jap video hold duel weaps.

they only use the strongest attacks. soul spear soul / last book chain /ghost spear is strongst for heuskal / last book kd+3 stab is stronest for bicheon.

their goal is to make enemy stop movin. so they try stun or kd. they switch when they cant immobilzie them becuz the attack has cool down time.

if u think about it, make sense to only use last book strongest and not 2nd book like soul spear truth...they want maximum attack and not waste some time on a 2nd book.

FYI, 2nd book of soul spear or stab deals more dmg in 1 blow than the 3rd books of their counterpart, so ppl may want a high 1 hit dmg instead of a 2 hitter that adds up to more dmg

example:
2nd book stab will do 4k dmg, while 3rd book stab will do 1.5k for 1st stab +3.5k for 2nd stab

in total the 3rd may add up to more, but the dmg is given in 2 blow, so opponent may have time in between to pot

i can do

soul spear - ghost spear - switch to s/s - kd - stab - stab - stab - switch back to spear - repeat -


easily, without any macro.

but i cant do any more then that. cause i dont have enough room on my skill bar.
