I'm a lvl17 Lightning/Fire/Spear Nuke! character. I'm currently SP farming, so my masteries are still at lvl10

Heuksal Mastery Lvl. 10
  • Wolf Bite Spear Lvl. 3
  • Dancing Demon Spear Lvl. 1
  • Cholseam Force Lvl. 1 (PASSIVE)
Lightning Mastery Lvl. 10
  • Thundertiger Force Lvl. 3
  • Must-Piercing Force Lvl. 1
  • Heaven's Force Lvl. 1 (PASSIVE)
Fire Mastery Lvl. 10
  • River Fire Force Lvl. 3
  • Flame Devil Force Lvl. 1 (PASSIVE)
Force Mastery Lvl. 10
  • Self-Breathe Heal Lvl. 1
  • Force Increasing Lvl. 1 (PASSIVE)
A few questions:
    1. How many masteries would I be able to max out with the 300 Mastery Level Cap? I'm aiming to max out Fire, Lightning, and Heuksal completely. I'd also like enough Force mastery levels to Res.
    2. Is the Heuksal mastery really worth levelling up all the way? As an INT user, how much will a high level Heuksal move help me? Should I stop at an early level and use the SP masteries for something else?
    3. I hear people praising the Must-Piercing Force skill, but I also notice that the Fire mastery has a similar move called "Flame-Body Wisdom". Can they both be used at the same time or is it a waste to spend SP points on both of them?

SuicideGirl, I'm going to steal your idea for just a second here--

1) This is really debatable right now.. since we don't know what the max level will be.. so it could be anywhere from 3.3 max trees, to 3, or 2, depending if the max level is going to be 90, 100, or 150, respectively.

2) It really depends on you and how much you want to farm.. the Hyeksal tree has some pretty nice moves.. so i guess you could, although if you're full INT with 2 nukes i'd recommend not getting the dragon-flying thing. Its a physical nuke and would benefit you if you were a hybrid, but you're full int.

3) You can use them at the same time, but i believe they do different things.. Must piercing force is a magic attack increase buff and is NECESSARY for any INT based character. I THINK, not sure if i remember this correctly, but Flame-body wisdom has to do with magical defense.

hope this helps, if its unclear or anything just leave a note.
and if any of this info is inacurate (im pretty sure it isn't), anybody feel free to correct me.[/b]

200 points please. Heh. Well according to Fly, by the time you're reaching a high level, the amount of points you can put in each mastery will rise (150 point maximum). If this does happen, and I were you, then I would put about 150 in fire, 100 in lightning, about 20 in heuksal and the remaining 30 for your ressurection business. You won't be using the spear much, so it really isn't necessary to max it out. Yes, both skills can be used at the same time, although I find them both useless o.O.

1. 300? Up to 300 masteries then. You don't need to max heuksal on a nuker.
2. Don't waste it on skills in the heuksal tree, at most the only skill you should be using for a nuker is the cheolsom force which adds HP ( the passive ).
3. Must piercing force increases magic damage by a %.. flame body wisdom increase physical damage by a % and is no good for a nuker.

You're a nuker, you want skills that can help you in pvp, against mobs, or do magic damage basically. You need 0 skills in heuksal ( after level 30.. before is ok to help you level since you don't have nukes ) except the passive. The passive is a good skill because at level 60 it adds over 1000 HP. Also, you won't need to raise heuksal above 60 because the passive maxes out at level 6. In the light/fire trees there are only few skills you want to level.

Light:
Imbue - don't touch it.

Piercing force series - max it.

Wind walk series - not essential but very useful. Max these ( the ghost walk is EXTREMELY useful in pvp and to move between monsters while grinding ).

Lion shout series - not really essential. most get them because they're 'mini nukes'. Once you get all 3 books you can fire them nearly instantaneously one after another. You can also fire one or two or three off right after you nuke a monster making for a good finishing skill. It's up to you but I maxed this.

Concentration series - max it. it's good in pvp and in pvm.

Thunderbolt force - it's a nuke, max it =D

Heaven's force - max it.

( Basically light is all maxed except for the imbue. )

Fire:
Imbue - Max it. This is hands-down the best imbue for a nuker. It's the strongest damage-wise, and deals fire which is very nice. Later on at level 70+, most people using shields will be invincible to ice so the ice imbue is useless and is gimp in attacking strength.

Fire shield series - Only max this if you're a sword/shield for pvp or whatever else. This is one of the best skills you can get as a nuker for defensive purposes. At level 68 the emperor book ( 4th book, added next week ) will reduce 78% status effect meaning 22% in jewels and you're immune to a status error.

Flame body series - don't touch it.

Fire protection series - good for magic defense. Gives you more mdef and helps versus nukers and pvpers that use imbues. I'd say max it.

Fire wall series - it's useless.. you can get it if you want because it's cool looking and fun to play with but utterly useless ^^

The nuke - common sense. Now you can get book 2 with just 1 level on book 1.. and book 3 with just 1 level on book 2.. but I urge you to level them. Book 1 leveled all the way to the max ( 16 levels I believe ) is very strong, same with Book 2 ( 13-14 levels max I believe ). Book 3 is good for pvp as it hits an area surrounding the primary target.

Flame devil force series - don't get this, useless.

Hope that helps. Btw I'm a level 60 pure int nuker ^^.

some nukers i know have this as a way to ensure that they don't get one-shotted by a pure str during PvP due to their low hp. just an alternate perspective.

oh, and easy with the points, there kiddo... you're gonna lower their market value if you hand them out like candy :P

Thank you for your help everyone. Lots of good posts in here so far. I have one final question, though. I know that the Player Level Cap is set to 60. Does this mean that the maximum mastery level is 60? If the total Mastery cap is 300, then wouldn't people be able to theoretically max out 5 different masteries (60x5=300), resulting in insanely powerful hybrids?

I know I'm missing something here... =P

actually the cap is at 70 now i think.. and yes highest mastery level will be equal to max level.. it's predicted to be raised to at least 90 though

Okay, so I basically shouldn't spread myself too thin =P

Anyways, a BIG thank you to everyone, especially Hyaline (for his BIG post) and RaiKiRii.
