everyone say that str archer better than int archer. but i dont think so coz my archer int type does a lot of damage than str type so he can kill monster and other player more quickly. maybe he have low hp but archer is a range type isnt it? so i think before melee type can hit my archer i can lower their hp about 1000-1200 (strong bow arrow) and when i use my nuke it does damage around 1000-1200. and for a notice str type level 32 (same level like my archer have hp about 2000+ and their att about 500 (nuke) :( so i think i can defeat str type IF ONLY i use my range well. :D

but if i cant use my range well surely im the one who get killed  :banghead:

am i right? :?: :P

the problem with int bow characters is that bows have naturally lower dmg ratings - both physical and magical - than, say, a spear. so does a sword, but at least with that you have the added advantage of a shield to help keep you alive. bows don't have high enough magical attack ratings on average to be as effective for an int character as a spear, and even if they do more dmg than a sword, they lack the defence and blocking of a shield. remember, your nukes don't USE your weapon, but their power is based on your weapon's stats. hope this answered your question as to why this isn't a popular build.

HOWEVER, you should build what you like. if your int bow does well for you, max it out and have fun with it. if it doesn't, reroll :)

and welcome to the forums, i hope you like it here :)

my question is, why have nukes that are ranged and arrows that are ranged? nukes would attack a far ranged person, but by then, he will already by in your face attacking you... so arrows are kind of pointless. the same with arrows, use an attack or two, and he will be in your face. So what good is the nuke?

^actaully, an archer can probably put 4-5 arrowsin you and start charging their strong bow spirit before they get to you.

but yeah i think str is better for bow.. just because being a physicaly nuke is better than being weaker than magical nuker

nukes do WAY more damage than physical attacks in the hands of an int build, whether hybrid or pure. by the time that person is in your face, you've already SERIOUSLY hurt them.

I'm not debating the use and damage and awesomeness of a nuke, im just saying why have two dominetly ranged attacks whereas a spear/nuker would do better since you have nukes for range, and a spear or sword for up close and personal fights.

hi ;)

i think also, the bow is not the best weapon for an int based char.
my char is an int based hybrid lvl 32 (with some str points ;)
and i used the bow only to farm or for get a quick lvlup not in pvp battle,
while it transfers a lot of magic dmg over range.
vs giants i use my sword as primary skill to get a better defence with shield. this is the same constellation to fight against a str char in pvp.
most str chars wear garment and gets quick closer to your position.
than you must survive an in fight ;)

the best way i think is to train bow skill to lvl 20 i have only develop
triplehit, passive attack ratio increase and the falcon, im use sos bow
and farm hyeongheons with 4-5 shots per kill.

a tipp from me too select the right weapon, as int high critical is not so effective, it increase only phy dmg i think, i buy bows with very high attack ratio and max magical dmg.

for pvp i use sword and shield in combination with ice cave or castle shield, so you have more time to transfer dmg with nukes well protected.
and when you learn enough nukes your enemy can be instant dead
by a short delayed massive nuke attack likes a rocket cruiser fights against a heavy battleship. he dont has a chance to drink some potions. this is the basic principle of a nuker.

the INT would probably have more damage because he has nukes. However in a battle I don't know which one would win.

The one thing I have to say though is: I think Bow plus Nukes are a rather retarded combination because they are both ranged attacks

Ehh i have the strongest feeling that a Pure INT would beat a Pure STR in PvP, however a Int heavy Hybrid would beat a Pure INT.

i duno why, just a gut feeling

1. No...only 1 hawk at a time can be summoned
2. AFAIK, Yes.
3. Stop moving = freezing; Slow moving = frostbite
4. Crystal wall provides defense; harmony therapy increase HP/MP regen

you cannot cast crystal wall and fire tower at the same time, but you CAN alternate them. phunky and i were playing with this last night. by alternating between them, he was able to block 3 out of my every 5 nukes. if he lvled the 2nd book of one of them, he could probably block every nuke i cast, as the cool-down times between them would be alternated enough that he'd ALWAYS be able to be casting the next one. add this to the fact that the higher books of the nukes take so long to cast and you have an impenetratable defense :)
