Ok so i started playing this game and i made about 5 characters because i kept changing my mind of what i want but i think i have it now. I think i'm going to have a bow user with fire for massive fast nuking damage for pvp. But i'm looking at the skills and the only ones that look good are the first bow ability and the first fire ability because of the massive damage. Have i completely lost it, the other skills look poor but they can't be because of how much they cost. At the moment i am thinking of maxing the first bow ability and the first fire ability out and then having ice to freeze enemys so i can nuke them.
Any advice?

Not a archer myself, but I use fire. Since ur gonna be an INT build, the fire nuke is probaly best. The fire imbue is also the strongest, but you might want to have some ice too (if u burn them far away, thats a crapload if dmg, but burn, then frostbite/freeze=wow) then NUKE=DEAD.
But thats probaly totally not gonna work out, so try it and tell me the results ^_^

anti devil bow is typically maxed, 2-3-4 arrow maxed, strong bow (str users) maxed. The white hawk (not sure about the others), I also put some points into demon soul for extra distance.
The others I tried and ended up deleveling.
As for damage, the fire imbue you want to max (if you use fire)... umm the passive one, the non passive damage one (flame body?).... Thas all I can remember.
And ofc lightning so you can get grass walk and must flow series.
I'm sure I missed something.

Grasswalk? i don't see the point in that all you get is a 20% speed boost whats the point when your just gonna nuke them to death?
And are the fire skills that add physical damage any usefull because the little % they add seems rubbish.
Also the multi shot thing for the bow, is there a point? 2 arrows at 50% damage, that's pointless seriously explain i'm confused.

well, in pvp, i could see grass walk being nice, since you'd want to try to stay ranged as much as possible, instead of them being up in ya face

From wat i heard, bow nuker is not such a great choice. If u want to be a nuker, why dont u go for spear or sword instead? I think ur nuke will deal more damage if u use spear or sword. U should check those previous post about pure int bow

yea, but a bow has limited range, by the time you run out of range and stop to attack again (or charge strong bow) they'll be in ur face again anyway.

Hmm i always like to play a big burst damager in mmorpg's and the only one i really liked was the bow user because of it's ranged attacking. I always go for the biggest damage in the shortest time.
If they get near to me that's why i was thinking of ice aswell so i can freeze them and get back in range distance but i have never needed that in mmorpg's because i always have the biggest burst damage in the game with the skills and always nuke them to death fast. So are you saying that bows are poor for fast damage? They seem really nice especially some of the things i have read on them.
And btw i'm thinking of going int bower so i can use laods of mana to power my bow up then nuke my enemys for massive damage at high cost fast.

Bow isnt for nuking.. spear is.
Either go pure intellignece: Heuskal/Bicheon, Lightning, Fire/Ice, or Hybrid Heuskal, Lightning, Fire/Ice.
For the pure intelligence character you will have zero tanking capabilities, so you need to be an expert at rapid repositioning... IE running.
For the hybrid, you can duke it out in melee combat much longer and can actually take some hits before having to pot up.
A reccommended Balance for a Hybrid Nuker is 2:1 Inteligence:Strength ratio, meaning each time you level up you spend 2 points on Intelligence, one point on strength.
Im sure SG's topic on Hybrids will be of much help to you. I reccomend you read this very thoroughly and digest what is said there. Read the OP and the follow-up posts too.
All-in-all I would go with the hybrid. Less damage, but more survivable. I see a pure-int nuker as a person that HAS to kill in one hit or gets killled. I can assure you that a nuker CANNOT one hit every monster up to the end of the game, so lets not even touch those with pure intelligence.
BTW: When i relocate to another server I will be making a hybrid Intelligence heavy character...

First off with grasswalk mobilty is life for you and death for others. Running into and out of battle fast allows you alot of versitility. Also, you will need to level up, the only way to do that is to kill monsters. Grasswalk saves you time, alot of it even if you only get level 1.
Multishot is great. I use ice, and hitting someone 2-3 times quickly usually ensures they will at least get frostbitten, slowing the down if not frozen, which will interrupt their attack. The point isnt in the damage its in the speed of the attack. It can also be a great finishing off move.
The damage increases are just that increases. People go nuts over a few points on a weapon, this does the same thing but is permanent. Every bit of damage helps.
Remember that you will have to kill monsters to get to level 20 and above, there is no insta pvp character like in guild wars. As such you will want a decent overall build. Don't take my word for it read the stickied posts. Besides you can always delevel skills you don't like.
