ok, i was planning on making a Cleric with Wizard sub (tell me if this is not a good idea) so i can buff me and my union mates while hunting. But i just did the sp requirements for this and the total is 523k sp
i thought there was no farming needed for euro characters....well, powerleveling FTW i guess.....

The moment you equip your staff to cast Wizard spells, most your Cleric buffs will get instantly dispelled.

If you intend for cleric to be you main class, then you're really wasting your time getting a wizard subclass, IMO. The only exception to this is if you choose which class you're going to play as before you join a party. It's almost impossible to play as both in one party, if you want to fully utilize the cleric's buffs while still being an effective nuker.
I have a wizard with a cleric sub. I mainly play the role of a nuker, but if someone dies(the main cleric, in particular), I can res them quickly, and go back to fighting. Plus, the light armor is an improvement over the robes.
Either way, I highly doubt that you'll actually need THAT much SP, in the end.
Good luck whatever you decide to do.

Bard seems to be the popular choice, nowadays.

In terms of sheer power, yes, they are good.
However, they are about as tough as toilet paper.
Now, this problem could be lessened if a wizard has a warrior sub-class, but I haven't heard of anyone trying it. *patiently waits for the "What are you, stupid!? That'll never work!" replies*

that suck, a wizard/cleric would be cool, i would get the best of both, but i was afraid that the buffs would go away when switching to wizard weapon, are there any good sub for cleric, i want a cleric only for the buffs, is there any useful sub class than?

ive sugested that on the main wizard topic, and i think i might go warrior subclass just to wear armour (they do look quite cool )
but the cleric defence buffs makes up for the heavy armour? and being cleric sub class, u can wear light armour and that offering spell is very hard to resist >__<

Im Cleric/Wiz and it kicks a ss , Im Pure Int , Light armour and I can decide what to do.. For partying , I mainly pick cleric but if they need another mage , I can do that too..
For Jobs , I usually use cleric for buffin myself (bless etc.) then switch to wiz and kill my enemy..
So.. why do you waste ur time going wiz as sub , Aiyas?

I thought the buffs went away when u switched back to wiz, but i think i will make a cleric wiz sub, i love to be able to buff myself with those awesome buffs, and if i want i can go on a ownage spree as a wizard, 525k sp tho, oh well, i think it will be worth it to do it

Do you follow what I'm saying now? I enjoy blasting the s**t out of people. I don't like being a buffer, but I can fill in briefly if there is a problem.

You may want to also check this guide out if you need any help with your cleric.

I think you would be fine if you chose to be just a cleric(that's just my opinion.)
Again, good luck whatever you choose to do.

Wiz/Bard - Moving March and Noise
Never take Cleric sub unless you really like hearing "dude can you heal?"
If I wanted to heal the party I would be playing a cleric. The only time the Cleric sub is really worth having is when jobbing you have to res your partners.
