Get it at 30. You want to bloom ASAP, you never want to delay your strongest skills.

You don't really need to farm if all you want is a pure INT nuker. I have a dual nuker at lvl 34 and I have kept a mastery difference of 0 all the way until lvl 30 where I got my fire and lightning nuke and stopped putting points. I believe I have 1.5-2k extra SP left too with all skills in lightning tree maxed to lvl 30, the fire nuke in fire tree, and lvl 20 hp passive for spear tree.

You almost HAVE to get your nukes at 30.. that's what you are working on becoming, a nuker! I am only keeping a 2 level difference and at 33 I have 1200 un-spent SP's. Don't over think it, nuke it! :)

You don't really need to farm if you have one main mastery, one kinda main mastery, and one sub mastery, no matter what the build. Furthermore, people don't farm planning to ~Lv35, they farm looking ahead to Lv60 and beyond. I'd be curious how well you can keep up with your 2 main masteries and 1 sub mastery with a 0 level difference going forward from Lv35. Having a couple thousand left over sp in the mid 30s is nothing . . .

To the thread starter . . . the best way to do it is farm your sp on your way to Lv30, then when you hit Lv30, get your nukes and start opening up your gap again. Fact is, you're not really a nuker until you get your nukes, and it's too hard to resist not getting them at Lv30. If there is anytime that a pure int would want their mastery equal to their exp level, it is at Lv30. As long as you've been saving up your sp, then yes, go for it.

Well, I didn't stop farming till vl 33, but only because I was getting such good SP at the flowers, and had my pattern down (imbue, 2 hits, sword combo, next). But then again I had a SoS +2 sword. If I didn't there's no way I'd be doing that sort of dmg.

Okay, I sorta phrased my first sentence wrong. "You don't really need to farm if all you want is a pure INT nuker" UNTIL lvl 30. Then you can go wild nuking those earth taoists followed by a slash or shout. I think people tend to forget that yes... you still get sp as you lvl. IMO (note I do not have a lvl 60 nuker), if you don't waste any pts in unneccesary skills, you can keep a 0 mastery difference until you get your nuke(s). Then you can go with a 5-9 lvl difference for as long as you see fit, since those first lvl nukes do sooo much damage. This way you lvl fast and still have enough sp for those higher-lvl skills.

The lightning nuke followed by a slash or shout is especially effective against a mob of earth toaist / earth ghosts / meek gun powders. Just gotta watch the lag sometimes and time your pots right.

Also, the nuker I built only used regular up-to-date spears... I'd imagine you do way more damage with a +3-5 or SOS weapon.

Taoists? I'd go with Heongs. Yes, they do more damage, but you're fast enough that they'll never touch you. Plus, you don't have to worry about earth ghosts and GPs mobbing you.

When lag is reasonable, I believe you want to get mobbed by those types. Wearing garment and being pure INT, those earth toaists/magicians do pitiful damage to you. I usually just attract around 2 earth ghosts in the area, run up towards the taoist, and lightning nuke followed by shout followed by slashes cleaning up the rest. It uses up a bunch of health pots, but what's money compared to reallly fast xp? Of course, if there's lag, you probably wouldn't want to do this tactic.
