Questions from a noobie: :D

1) Does the weapon's degree affect the chances of overupgrading? I have been seeing higher-level weapons going to +4, +5 even.

2) Does the weapon's durability also affect the chances in overupgrading?

3) Are there any possible ways to increase my chances of success in upgrading?

thanks for replying! :)

1) nah it's just that lower level weapons arnt worth adding +3 to cuz they wont resell for anything near how much its costs to get it there

2) not sure but its recommended somewhere to have it at full durability before trying to enhance it

3) there are theories but nothing concrete :)

thanks! Had tried it myself, though. I ad a +3 lvl 29 bow (durability = 61), +4 lvl 32 bow (durability = 62) and a +4 lvl 26 bow (durability = 70). I thought maybe there is a better chance of overupgrading weapons with 60 ~ 70+ durability. I guess I need to experiment further. :D

does anyone think there are certain "points" of an items. for example, kind of like a roller coaster. in certain occasions it's easy to get to +3, but sometimes its hard to get to +5 but after so many elixirs it goes there with ease, same goes for +7 etc. depending on how it dropped.. whoever is lucky enough to get to the part of the roller coaster where it's close to +5 or +7, then maybe this can be true? who knows, im just throwing things out there, trying to help find out how alchemy works.

If you ask me there is no spoon .. eehm trick
This is wat i think about alchemy
alchemy simply works like a chance calculation done by a program , its simple random numbers , 90% chance , 50% chance 30% chance , thats it , there probbly isnt any trick to it at all
Sro probbly has some list that looks like this with Lpowders adding something like 5% to the roll
+1 = 80%
+2 = 70%
+3 = 60%
+4 = 50%
+5 = 40%
+6 = 30%
+7 = 20%
+8 = 10%
+9 = ????

probbly the only trick would be chaos theory , as in the more ppl doing alchemy , the more the program has to generate rolls the more negative rolls will happen on pretty high chances

1) No, it is just more worth it to upgrade higher level weapons, becuase you grow out of low level weapons quickly.

2) No. Durability just tells you how long that you can train before having to repair it.

3) Use lucky powder, that will help a little bit. Lucky on your weapon is supposed to help, but I have had lucky items that still fail. Also, look at higher level people that upgrade their weapons, they tend to give some hints. Or just ask Athena. :D

so if we do it after a inspection when the server is almost empty it should be easier to get it +5/6/7 and so on :D

now that you mention it, i clearly remember having successful overupgrades when there were lesser people with opened stalls, and running somewhere in donwhang. hmmmmm...... :!: :!:

Another question, when equipment or a weapon is +0 and you use an elixir on it. Will it always go to +1, or not? So do I need to use lucky powder then ?
