Hi friends, first post so i thought I'd make it a good one since searching was fruitless.

I'm only lvl 15 (for the 3rd time) and since there aren't many good detailed threads explaining skills (from a beginners perspective), I've been having to remake my chars to experiment with skills. And even with this third char, I'm finding out I've been adding skills which are totally useless (fire - the dumb fan skill, etc).

Anywho, wondering if there is a npc service, or other way to regain/recoop misplaced SP points? Maybe a quest that lets you do this? A job change thing?

Thanks in advance.

Reach lvl 18 (don't remember if it is 18 or 20) and talk to herbalist in jangan (or any town) and he/she will give you a quest, then u have to collect 10 "cursed heart" mobbing around and with that u can get 1 skill reallocation potion, with that potion u can talk again to the herbalist so u can lvl down 1 skill and recover 80% of the skill points used on it.
GL.

However....don't worry about the SP.

It costs alot and is better to do later. If ever you misplace skills early on it isn't the end of the world, the SP they cost is a fraction of what they'll cost in 10 levels. Just keep going if you make a mistake, it's fixable...unless you mess around with your str/int ratios.

It's fixable in the sense that i can easily discard them and use future SP towards the correct skills? Or fixable meaning I can do some sort of reset later, with say, a potion?

Also, while I've got some captive readers, is there really a benefit to stopping your levelling to skill point farm? And if so, how the heck to you drive a 9 level gap between your char level and your highest skill level? That alone must take forever..then the farming would take forever IMHO...or am I wrong?

Thanks.

If u want to lvl getting some sp just let your max mastery about 3 or 4 lvls below ur lvl, when u are a pure int u will level fast anyway :D

Sounds good! Thanks for all the help. I'm sure I'll thank you more in the future as I move from noobhood to guruship like y'alls.

Oh, and Maldito, just to clarify, is it the category level that has to be 3 or 4 levels below your character level to make the difference in SP growth, or is it the total SP/300 at the bottom?

For example, I'm lvl 16 right now, and I've got some lvl 15 categories. If it's those categories (the highest, right?), then i have a 1 lvl gap, correct?

And I often read how people will start farming around 16 since the mobs for that time are easy to farm with (tigers, bandits, etc)? Is there a good area in particular to do this? I was thinking that the bandit fortress place would be good till around lvl 19 ish with my current skills allowing me to up my SP.

The answer is yes.

As for SP farming, people do it at level 16 because they can 1 hit kill bandit archers with a SoS +# number. This runs at a couple million gold and for that reason I don't suggest you do it. Besides, SP farming helps, it isn't necessary.

Levels are so important in this game, I rather be level 52 with only essential skills then level 40 with every skill.

Also, what server are you on?

I'm on Oasis. Yeah, i've read on this forum where people say they have or they haven't farmed SP, both having compelling reasons. I'm of the opinion that I'm doing fine so far just getting the skills as they become available to me. My play style is one that keeps me interested in enjoying the game, not one to labor and toil endlessly doing the same shit constantly. And for that reason, i am partially against SP farming.

But I also realize that there will be times as I advance towards the 20's and 30's that I'll want to go to a good area that is pot friendly and SP friendly to farm a little to get my next desireable skill. I"m guessing that many do this as opposed to farming.

I have 4 accounts all filled with characters i've leveled to 2x. The reason I always restarted is because I either screwed up from listening to bad advice or I didn't make a character that I would enjoy playing.

You sir are 100% right, the most important thing that anyone can do is make a character that they can enjoy.
