Max heuksal, lightning, fire, and partial force. Try to keep a 5-6 level difference if you're going to max atleast 3.

I would max light fire and spear since you will have skills that are useful at all levels in all three trees. But be ready to farm a LOT of sp if you plan on getting nukes, spear skills, buffs, imbue, etc.. A LOT

Have force at 20, since it is not THAT useful, only in guild wars and jobs,a nd if you feel nice the occasional person you see dead. Your CHARACTER will not physically gain any power from having any force skill, so you will keep that one low, if you keep it at all. Having it at 20 will be good because you can res at 17, so if you have a RL friend starting out or someone making a new character or something you can powerflevel them and have res. I believe you get the ring at level 22, so assuming you get to level 70, you could look at your current skills and see if there is anything at level 69 or 70 you absolutely need, if not get rid of the masteries and put them to get the ring which will help a lot if you are leveling up someone.

Now if you choose not to get force you can get sword, ice, or bow at 20 and get some use out of each.

With sword at 20 you get a few basic sword skills, and the BR increase if you ever switch to sword/shield while fighting stronger monsters.

With bow at 20, you get the passive AR increase, and you can also get the hawk which increases attack rating (must take out a bow to be able to use that skill)

With ice at 20, you can dump some skill poins for a wee little bit of phy defence increase fromthe passive and weak guard of ice, you can get the little ice ball to annoy people during jobs, or waste their pills if you think they are botting, you can also get the crystal wall to show off to noobs.
