Would a STR Hybrid build have a good chance of survivability in the higher 50's to 70?

STR hybrid is bad.
INT hybrid is perfectly good, the extra life helps the character to survive.
A STR hybrid doesn't provide any benefit other then giving the character a couple more MP.
A MP pot, especially with autopot, is much better then sacrificing life and damage for some more MP. For a INT hybrid, you can't pot back from death, the HP is useful.

i was calculating my stats up this evening trying to figure out what was going on and i'm 7points str heavy from a perfect 3:2 build, and from here (lvl 47) on out, i'm going full str. i think. i wanted to be a tank that could pull the magics out on ya if he wanted, but i'm not sure if that'll do me any good looking further in the game. auto pot changed alot of things. when i first started, i was thinking that MP would come into a big play in PVP and stuff because sometimes you'd forget to pot and be left without skills untill you realized it or you'd pot at the wrong time and screw it up, so if you had a bit more MP, you'd have less of a chance of that happening, but with autopot you can set it and forget it and you're fine, making MP problems a thing of the past. still, i like my build, and while i'm not going the 2:1 route anymore, it was still good for me.

Not true actually. For most high levels, adding a few points to int will also improve their damage slightly. If its worth the lost hp, i dont know. For str builds that have troubles killing others str's, it might be an option.

In the end a 70 vs 70 I watched 1v1ing each other did nothing to each other eventually they stopped to stop wasting pots. A little bit of damage wouldn't help much.
In the end all builds for a guild is needed. But hybrid str isn't quite a good build. But by all means go ahead and try it out if you want.

@Jester:
I think there is a point when extra hp wont do much for you. as you said, those 2 lvl 70ies wont hurt each other much, and +/-10 Str wont change a thing about it.
For my build, a sacrifice of 10 STR at LVL70 will mean a total damage increase of about 2%. Not that great, of course - but still considerable. The 10 Str on the other hand, i dont think i would miss them much.
Im still "pure", but seriously considering to put a few points into int, just to speed up my leveling a bit.
