i have 70:70 and full str and both are good imo. if you have good gear and some brains so 70:70 is better :)

b4 90 cap i saw a duel between 2 lvl 80 1:1 and pure str bow, both with garments and +5 bow, 1:1 hits much more dmg and crits are almost the same 10-12k, the 1:1 had max cold buffs, while the pure str didnt have ice at all and was using vital spots but the 1:1 was a rich boy and just pilled them off and won with a few crits.

I like my 1:1 Bow Light/cold :)
I can win vs the most builds but pure str Archer is maybe a bit stronger but much less fun. I got one Str lvl 80 and one Hybrid lvl 85, so i know what im speaking about.

Tried both builds to around lvl 5x
I recommend the Pure Str Build, Period

Did exactly the same thing. Level 54 full STR bow and level 57 70:70... I recommend the 70:70, I liked it more. Maybe it's a question of style. I liked the overall high damage output, and the crits weren't that bad afterall. I never really farmed any of the builds well. My full STR was 54 pacheon / 52 fire / 43 light / 20 cold. My 70:70 was 57 Pacheon / 57 Light / 40 cold / 32 fire. Snow shield was just about enough, I was doing good damage, and I was also tanking decently.

Full STR bow is much more stable, but if it doesn't crit in time, it's in trouble against a high damage build. With my 70:70, I'd eat INT's for breakfast. Yes, that's what a full STR bow does as well, theoretically. However, if I didn't crit fast enough on my pure STR, the INT would either stun me or knock me down, and I found myself losing against lower level, worse equipped INT's.

The 70:70 relies much more on gear than the full STR. I played my full STR first, and then my 70:70. I had the money to buy good gear for the archer, and with the gear, it just rocked.
I repeat: I'm not saying pure STR is bad. It's a great build and many capped players are full STR bows, but the 70:70 is not as bad as people say it is. Give it a shot, and see if it meets your style. It's all about liking the build, in the end.
