So I'm a pure int spear and recently hit 80, and Ive been contemplating whether i should go hybrid at 81 or stay pure int. So i want some input from people here who are 1:8 hybrid spears that are capped and fully farmed. Would this be a good idea? Does the extra 10 levels of pure STR effect your magical attacks tremendously or just barely? I want to tank a bit more against crits from STR chars and those annoying wizzes that hit you and run to safe zone. My planned masteries are 90 Heuksal/Light/cold and 30 Fire and I'm currently wearing prot.
Any HELPFUL and USEFUL input is appreciated, Thanks in advance.

going 1:8 hybrid would lower ur mag balance by 7% from 96% to 89%
but u gain 1748 HP and this is naked so if u had good blues u would have even more hp and probly even higher mag balance
u also lose 1748 mp but ull still have over 20k mp

yeah ive already done that math, with my gear on i have 115% mag balance and 64% phys balance at the moment being a pure int. at 90 having str 6 and int 6 on all my gear i would have roughly 69%ish phys and 108%ish mag balance w/o a prem.

so is this uy a 1:8 hybrid? Woulda helped if he stated it in his vid. The thing i don't like about these videos is the bias that is in it. there are so many variables to why people own and lose in pvp so its kinda like ehh.
Anyone else have some info they wanna share?

I believe it's not worth it. Considering you'll be using 53% snow I'd stay pure for the extra damage.

I agree with Stress. If adding 10 Str would be enough to allow you to tank through crits better, it would effect your magic attack a lot too then. Hate to say it, but you need snow to be able to tank, and pure int to do enough damage to kill bladers/warriors/blessed things
