I've been searching for quite a while and I can't find any 1:1 hybrid discussion threads. I'm sorry if there is already a thread like this, please post it on here as it is more info. After about an hour, I *finally* got that email for registering a new account. xD

I wanted to build a 1:1 character. (according to balances not stat points) Right "now" I'm lv 35 and with my equipment, I'm 77/75. I can't tell you my naked stats right now but it's something like 72/66. I'm a spear/light user and I have nukes.

Can I ask for your opinions/experiences with 1:1 hybrids? If it's bad in PvP as I hear from some people, I was thinking about making a 60/80 character. Does anyone know how that would do?

as you level up, you won't be able to maintain this balance. i wouldn't go 1:1, but if you have statted equip (which you will need) to kee your near 75/75 balance, then i would say you're fine. this is an ideal hybrid sword build.

if you want to use a spear, i suggest going with a magic balance of 80, your spear passive will make up for the hp loss.

kitary: with those balances, which skills you use when fighting with orange and white mobs? And what kind of combo you use when pvp:ing vs full str char (like in job pvps)? Int hybrid sword are so exiting..

I see.. I think I'll think I'll go a bit int heavy as I heard those builds do quite decent. I REALLY don't wanna use a sword though. (I don't want those sword skills, I don't have enough SP to go around ><; )

My friend sez you should have a magical balance of at least 90.. I want to have something a little less than that though. How effective will I be? Any ideas? =x

im a swordie with something less than 90%, magical balance at 83% and my physical balance is at 70% but im uncertain whether can maintain it at later levels. obviously my nuke damage is alot less than pure int and int hybrid spear (unless theyre using low level imbue/nuke) but like them i can still 2 hit whites (nuke + evil cut) and orange mobs (fire+light nukes) and like pure str i have no problem tanking a couple of reds.

A couple of reds? Earlier today, a few (had to be 5, maybe 6) Red Yeowa (Orange) killed me -.-;

Just couldn't get that frost nova out quickly enough... heh
But my wolf lived xD

if you dont want to use a sword, keep your magic balance around 80ish, and use a spear. hybrid spears are killing machines

Orange mobs , depening on the mob either wolfs thunderbolt + billow chain
or Snake sword dance +billow chain + soulblade force . or wolfs thunderbolt + soulblade force or any other comination of 2 skills that will 2hit a mob

Silver mobs just 2hit with tbolt + Soulblade Force or wat ever works

Giants and reds , is all nukes + billow chain , sometimes a knockdown here and there ( stab when it gets kd ofcource) when i feel like it or when i want to get damage while others cant *(mhaha KSers )

And just for the pure fun of it i also use my 2 knockdown skils + snake sword dance + stab only at times vs every mob , green to red.
Thay might not kill the fastest of my skill selections , But thay sure Kick butt in the LOL department, and you can kill almost anything with these , just takes a lil longer ,


Pvp i usualy do this
Flame wave arrow + Wolfs Thunderbolt+ Flamewave arrow + Snow storm ice shot . repeat when done
if thay get close Switch to bisheon and use random combinations of Soul blade force + Blood blade force + Billow chain + snake sword dance + Flower bloom blade + Frost nova wind ( if it has some effect)

i use 3 skill tabs , F1 has all my nukes + imbue + all my buffs, F2 has all my bisheon skills + imbue and 4 out of 5 of my buffs and ghost walk phantom and fire wall ( wtf fire wall .. YES fire wall!)

F3 hold a comination of lightning nuke and knockdown + stab skills and billow chain frostnova wind and ghostwalk phantom

My mouse butten is set to the ~ key ( the one left of Nr 1 key) and it holds snake sword dance

F3 is my mutateble skill selection , I mainly use ~ 1 2 3 4 5 as key's
Nr 2 is alway's my imbue i controll imbue with my midle finger the rest of my fingers work ~ 1 3 4 5 and the F1 to F3 key's

on my F3 tab i simply have imbue on 2 i alway's have snake sword dance on the ~key and the rest i can select from my skill in the belt, if a combo dus not 2 hit a mob from my F3 selection i simply change it on the spot by switching the skills in my slots around , no need to press S and do it from my skill tree tabs .

I set F3 with 2 knock downs + stab + imbue + frostnova for pvp , My F1 and F2 never change set up.

But in the end , i dont realy use any combo , i mainly use wat ever skill will suit the situation and is not in cool down time ,
and ill alway's try to find a combo that will 2 hit the mobs im fighting .. with all my skills i can usualy find a combination that woks
