Issue is to do with domain registrar whom I contacted today, issue requires refering to another department, which I will do straight away tomorrow morning.

Is it just me or has anyone else become extremely bored now that they're 110?

Nothing to do whatsoever. I have almost 800M gold, but there is nothing to spend it on. The drop rate is so high that alchemy is trivial. Nobody to pvp with. Trade runs are pointless. CTF and Arena are useless due to low population.

And I can't even power level noobies on Titan uniques anymore, because they have been seemingly removed.

Is that not what happens on every other server? That is something Avalon might differ in... but don't take this comment to brew further server vs server bullshit.

Ye, exactly the same here. The server is getting really boring. It's just too easy to get 110 FF with such rates. I'd like to have a server restart with lower rates and without the strong uniques (you just get way too much exp from them, maybe as event once in a while would be ok, but having like 3-4 of them running around at each unique location is by far too much). Come on, where is the "true gameplay", when you can just cap out after less than a week?

I think they should just fix the remaining bugs and reset the server. Everyone, who donated should get their silk back of course. To be honest, currently this whole server feels more like an open beta, as there are still things, that aren't working as they should. As far as i know, there are still the following bugs, that should be fixed. Maybe there are some more, but i just didn't notice any further:

-The Cool Down on the Lv.95+ Zerk Potions doesn't show until you teleport (the Cool Down is still there, it just doesn't show)
-You can only do 2* Trades at max (even with full transport). This kinda kills the fun of trading/hunting at least for me and it lead to an imbalance in hunter/trader ratio.
-Alexandria Quests aren't implemented at all
-In Flame Mountain there is a minor bug. In the Unique Rooms, you are supposed to kill all monsters on both sides (right and left) before you can get to the uniques location (not sure, if that can even be fixed. Maybe it's just caused a bug in the VSRO and there is no way to remove it)
-Adjust the exp/sp rate. If you keep it like that with the 1/3 SP requirements, i think something between 1x and 10x exp rate would be just fine. It keeps you busy for a while, but as you won't have to farm much, you could still get Lv.101+ in around 1-2 months (rough guess)
-Adjust the drop rate. Currently the drop rate is just way too high. As Lempi already mentioned, it's not really hard to do alchemy with such a huge drop rate. You'll get more than enough elixiers by just soloing anyway. Also gold is kinda useless on this server due to insane inflation. Even if you would divide the current drop rate through 10 or maybe 5, there should still be more than enough drops. Currently every monster drops at least 1 tablet in most cases.
-If possible, add the spawns to the Jangan Tomb Uniques Lv.85, 88, 89, 90 and the 4 Lv.95. That would make it more interesting to kill these, but not sure, if that is even possible. Could be that there just is no monster spawn in the VSRO files.
-Fix the Fortress War Registration. Faye said that he can't register for Fortress War, because it's bugged.

I am not aware of any other issues at the moment. But until most of these issues are fixed, i'd rather consider the server as in open beta status. And i think the server really needs a restart after applying these changes, as it will be much harder to level up and get drops after that. The people, who started playing there before these changes, would have a huge advantage.

Also some other suggestions, not sure, if it's even possible to implement features like that:

-Would it be possible to make high levels unable to attack lower level uniques? Maybe just make the unique an "invalid target", if you are more than 5 or 10 Lv. higher than the unique. Like that same level people could kill the uniques, which would be more fun.
-To restrict plevel (plevel--> high levels will just "help" their friends until a certain level and if they want to make a new character, they'll just plevel it --> less/no low level pts --> less "true gameplay") you could make it like that: If someone kills monsters, that are more than 10 levels lower, the whole pt won't get any exp/sp/drops
-Also on ISRO it seems, that you get less exp, if the monsters are more than 13 levels higher than you. If the monsters are more than 20 levels higher, it's usually not really good exp anymore and you would get better exp at lower level monsters. Not sure, if that would actually be a good idea though, as this would be the only way to help a lower level friend. Without this restriction, you could just integrate him into a pt at higher level monsters and "plevel" him like that. But as it is a regular leveling pt then and not just 1 high level killing lower monsters, the other people in the pt might not want lowies in the pt, that don't do anything. At least i would refuse pleveling an afk-lowie in my share pt

These are just some suggestions to improve the gameplay and it might require some testing before implementing these additional "features", but they would make the server more "unique" and legit friendly. Also i am not the only person in my guild, that would like to have a server restart with lower rates. We were already talking about this in our guild chat and most people agreed, that 10x exp/sp rates at max would be just fine with the sp requirements on the server.

Every server gets boring after a while, no exceptions. Particularly servers with higher rates get boring faster since you cap faster. I don't know why you guys are ranting about this, when it's inevitable that you will get bored and eventually quit.

I don't know, I'm still having a lot of fun, lol. I know I haven't reached cap yet, but I'm really enjoying this.
The community at the server is simply awesome :sohappy:

I agree. Even on iSRO once people reached the cap and farmed their SP, the server population decreased. Sometimes I wouldn't see people at all until the next cap was open. People left to try open beta of other games or returned to Rose, Fly, Kal or whatever they were playing. Then at 80 a lot went to try WoW and never came back like me.

Secondly have to admit, the few who are bored and at 110 level 100x faster than most people would. I'm still level 103 and having fun. I still have a lot of work to do on STR and still don't have my protector head and foot gear.

Already some thinking of switching to thief since the drop rate is enough to sustain their gold needs, don't need to be trader. Also seeing new faces, so if the old faces stick around, the community should build.

If people get bored and leave, the community won't build, and increase. Also in our guild we plvled people so we could have people to party with. People to play with. It's no fun being level 90 and playing with a level 10. Plvled them so we could have people to party with etc. And no fun for them either since there aren't enough low level players to party with right now.

No, you can only log in like this, if you already have an account. Currently you can't make an account. I guess you'll have to wait until these DNS issues are fixed. Then the registration should work again.

Nope, it's not down.
You probably just have to edit your host files (read through this page of replies).

Or move the file to the desktop. Change it, save it, and move it back to the original folder.

You can turn UAC off for this, then turn it back on, but it takes longer since it requires a restart to change it.
The easier way is to run Notepad as administrator, open the hosts file, edit, save and close.

Nope. Been able to play last few days, but right now, I can't either. They must be changing the DNS right now and waiting for that to take effect.

This is the discussion thread for Zelos :)

Anyway, I suppose the fact that the server is down, is a good thing. It's probably a sign that they have finally got a reply from their slow-poke host.

Yeah, let's hope for the best!
I don't know anything but there could be several reasons as of to why the server is down.
It could be them, switching to a new domain. It could be them, finally getting the old domain back on track (that is, if they've got a reply from the host). It could also be that they took it down to fix all of this and then puts it back up again with everything fixed - who knows.

For now we'll just have to wait and see :)
