Tricky thing with buffing bladers damage, is that you also buff s/s's damage. We tried that on Salv and s/s just wrecked everyone.

The only way to actually do it is to buff bladers phy attack damage a bit, but not the point where s/s users will start using blades to gain an advantage.

I would happily join if you would consider the following, but mostly my first point, though.

-Tweak Impotent, it is the most annoying Force skill by far. HhhhhHhHhHh u r do haf damage i r can tank sun +10 spear nookar
*uses pill on Decay against sun glaiver so I don't get blown away, *receives Impotent every 30 seconds until my snow then iron wall runs out*

-Do not alter blade or glaive, if you nerf glaive everybody goes force blade, buff blade, everybody goes force blade.. still. Blade/glaive or Force glaive or blade > any nuker in 1v1

-Custom pots, large makes STR gimped, XL makes STR too krall. We need something in-between to bring a good balance. XL was added more or less for Europeans to help balance their insane damage. I played at XomNhala, with large pots which later changed to XL. As a 1:6 spear I was able to take a dump on people in +6/7 sets with large. Once they added XL people would just shrug off 8-10k nukes. :l

With Chinese only it's hard to really add or buff/nerf skills for the fact being that it can easily disrupt game play. Bladers can tank a hell of a lot of damage, but can't deal enough damage to STR to kill them. If they can tank and kill people easily that causes a serious imbalance. I'm curious as to how balance would be if you gave Bicheon the 90 stab skill. Glaive/spear is fine. Bow is fine, 1 crit with strong bow or devil arrow is a 1 hit kill to most nukers.


Also, I saw somebody else mentioned they're working on a pserver.. how many of you guys are working on something? The last thing we need is multiple SRF pservers, we're spread out too thin as it is.

Oh, you're actually planning on making a server? I thought you were just asking out of curiousity.

You make it sound as if you don't have that much coding knowledge. So I don't know if I would bother making one if that's the case. No offence meant or anything, but you really need to know what you're doing or have a small team that knows what they're doing together. Otherwise your server won't attract much attention and you'll be forced to close immediately.
On top of that, if you can't do some of the simpler stuff (like adding new quests), then what will you do for more complex, but essential stuff (like fixing a difficult bug that can be abused)...

On the bright side it's not too difficult to learn and you can find a lot of guides at ePvP for some basic changes on your server.



I think that if you make Force skills simply require a lot more MP to cast you could add some balance, if done right, without nerfing anything. Right now most people that use Force tree are STR characters. But if you make it take out most of their MP, they would get problems by using that tree.
Make it so that it is mostly benefitial to INT characters. If you're mastery limit is 240 at 80 cap for example. One of the possible builds could be Bicheon/Cold/Force. Yes, you have the weakest nukes and no magical damage increase buff, but Force should be set up in such a way that it allows you to match or even outdamage (to make up for time lost casting debuffs) a lightning or fire nuke.

Perhaps. I think it would only work decently if they removed vigors from the game, which don't belong in SRO anyways IMO.
I can see STR Force players being really silly about it already, though. *equips shield and uses ice wall, then spams MP pots, uses debuff, stands there for a few more seconds spamming MP pots*
A Force nuker, even with ice is quite deadly.
I recall my force nuker on the Salvation fan re-make nuking people in full Egy sets for 18k+ with fire, sword, force and 60 low level ice. If I was spear I could 2 hit STR players every single time with Weaken.

All I want is a balanced 80 cap server with a good population. The last few I played were 80% STR Force spamming Impotent or blade/glaive. Where's the fun in that?

Actually my team's original intention was to make a pserver for Estonians. That was back in the day of the emulators when there were more of us playing. We even had a SRX emu pserver going for a while. When the VSRO files were released, we got to planning stuff right away and thought about making an oldschool server. But now we wouldn't get enough players as an Estonian server so we thought we could get more from SRF and as an international server.


Yeah. My 70:70 Pacheon|Cold|Force was pretty good in PvP. Though I just couldn't use my nukes as they were not powerful enough, mainly because of all the points put into STR.

Never fought a force nuker which I considered "hard" to beat.

I do know what I'm doing in general, I used to code a lot but stopped due to school and others. I have looked into guides and things and have been looking into the code and got a good grasp on what does what so I'm pretty set up.

Also I'm looking for someone to do the artwork/editing for me. Might even be paid if it all works out.

I would be interested, but I don't want to work for someone else's pserver.

You do know there is -no- coding related to sro pservers whatsoever right? The only thing you'll do is change some database tables and pk2 entries

You can rape with everything if you know how to handle your char. It takes time but you'll get there. Ofc it depends on ur set and weapon, also luck too (one lucky crit can turn it all around) but even the +12 staff won't do the trick if you're just randomly trying to flamethrower the shiz out of a warrior. Shield crush, some axe skills and it's over.

you don't have to look so much at the cap, if the skills are balanced imo. An example what the diff is between chin and euros at 90cap - Euros got mroe or less all their skills, chins dont

You know that you can't PvP as wizard on standard servers. Salvation was something different. And, ofcourse, equipment matters.
