(Since the old topic got closed, I had to make a new one.)

Looks like Ludoworks has returned and they're planning on opening Olsta "soon". Apricis is also supposed to come back after some voting takes place.

Latest news: http://ludoforums.com/index.php?/topic/ ... and-staff/
Olsta download links: http://ludoforums.com/index.php?/topic/ ... oad-links/

What do you think about it?

I must admit, they made quite an effort in balancing the game!
Just look at all those skills changes... I've never seen anything like it.

It's not like I'm going to start playing there, but still pretty impressive!

Too bad their whole team left, the server is running without any skilled dev/system administrator and the "admin" never paid anybody in the old team for any of their work.

What a great start :)

He just copy/pasted skill changes that we suggested, and we copy/pasted Salvation's skill changes:

Quote:
- Rogue Crossbow Extreme, previously nerfed from 75% damage to 50%, now changed to take 25% HP instead of 50% and 60% physical defense instead of 40%.
- Rogue Dagger Desperate, previously nerfed from 75% damage to 50%, now changed to takes 40% physical defense instead of 75%.
- Wizard Life turnover changed to take 40% hp instead of 50% (calculations 2nd page)
- Cleric Bless spell duration lowered to 20 sec
- Cleric Oblation/Immolation (black res) loses buffs completely
- Cleric absolutes do 9200 and 8800 damage, respectively; CD increased by 7 sec.
- Cleric Offering/Pure Offering cooldown increased to 120 sec
- Remove holy spell from game or decrease effect
- Warrior screens and skins last 15 sec
- Premium is 3%,5% for prem++, 110% movement speed during effect, 3 reverse/24h, 3 insta rez/24h.
- Remove 20% Dmg and Defense Scrolls (or make them extremely rare such as 5% drop upon unique kill, or make them only effective on monsters and not other players)
Be able to obtain BC from Trading/Thieving(Idea how to is on Sheet 1 scroll down,gold<-->coin ratio still work in progress

He didn't even edit this, we put those skill changes in a spreadsheet for him, you can see the bolded words.

There are a lot of repeated lines in the skill updates.

Ludo has failed and will continue to fail, the team doesn't get along and never will.

People still holding onto hope for this, that's cute.

Those skillchanges are copy pasted from our ideas of how to balance a server :)

Me too. I guess it'll be pretty apparent if it'll fail again though, so I'll log on whenever it goes back up, give it a test, and decide if it's worth the time.

Anyone actually trying Olsta? I won't be, they haven't even posted rates for it (that I can find), could be .001%/kill for all I know.

I think 120 was the only cap where Chinese actually gave Euros a run for their money, higher or lower Euros continue to poo on Chinese.

I may try Olsta in a week if it actually stays up. The PvP server was incredibly boring if there wasn't anybody jobbing or too many people on 1 job faction.

That will never happen. After I started playing on Aero I realized just how bad things get for Chinese at 120+.

A war/cler can be invincible 100% of the time. Iron/mana skin, cycle to Blue Crystal Guardian (combination of iron and mana), cover with bless in down time, repeat. On top of that you have shield deva state which is on a 6 second or so CD, combined with sprint assault, 2h KD, and axes stun can keep you shut down almost entirely. Triple swing causes impotent, crucial rush causes impotent, the stun and bleed on the new 4 hit sudden twist land far too easily. That's just the problems with war, I haven't even bothered to look at what's broken with the other setups.

I actually think euro's get stronger with higher level caps. In group pvp at least. Since warrior buffs can get up to like 75% absorb. GL killing anyone.

75% absorb + 2811 x2 phy def increase + 4497 x2 mag def increase + bless + cler buffs.

Absolutes do 23k damage (at 125) though, so I guess it's just like any other server, spam the hell out of those = win.

I prefer playing on a fail server more than playing on a bottar/turklar krallar community server.

Too bad I'm banned from the forums and can't see news, meh.

The community there still isn't that great as I remember from my prior experience there, still quite a few annoying people. One guild (or union) does not a community make.
