Im new to this new game. Need help with chatting
all i know now is to hit enter key then type wut i want to say then hit enter key again. however, sometimes this works sometimes not.
Any help would be appreciated!!!

ok here's the deal:

When you click in the red area, you can type things, when you hit enter, it will appear in the chatbox in white as (LanT res me pls).

You can whisper people like this: $name message
example: $astroviet hello
You will see it like Killerblade.

The green outline is an example of guildchat.
That works like this: @message

On top of the chatwindow you will see 4 tabs: All, Party, Guild, Union.
You can filter messages with that. If you click the All tab you'll see all messages, if you click the Party tab you'll see only party messages, etc.

i have some more questions if u dont mind:
how do i invite others to make friends? and how do i know if my friends online playing?
how can i exchange stuff?

Friends:

Press U. Then go to the friends tab.
On the right side there are some buttons.
There's a button called Add Friend. When you click you can enter the name of the person you want to be friends with. When you click Ok the other person will be asked to become friends with you. If he accepts you will see his name in the window. There's an icon of a computer in front of name. If the pc is on, he is online, if the pc is off he is offline.

In the picture is Deathler online, AJ is offline.

Exchange.

There are two ways in silkroad to exchange items with other people.
The first is stalls. That are the things you see in the cities with the purple names (i.e. lvl 20-24 armor CHEAP).
To open a stall press A. On the very right side you will see an icon that looks like a treasury. Hover your mouse over it, it will say Stall. When you click on it you have to put a name for your stall. Then drag your items from your inventory to the stallslots and give it a price. Don't forget to open the stall (topright button) when your done. People can only buy items when the stall is open.
If you want to give something to a friend or want to buy or sell something to one person, you want to use Exchange.
First click on the person you want to exchange with, his name will appear in the top. Now press A and click on the icon with two arrows in a circle, it will say Exchange when you hover over it. If the other person accepts the exchange a window will appear. In the top you will see the items and money the other person will give. At the bottom you can drag items from your inventory to the slots. When you're done click confirm. The slot wil become grey, wait til the other person's slots are grey. Check if the items and money are correct and click on approve to complete the exchange.

Is it possible to block people in chat?

I know that you can turn of all whisper in the option field but you can't block ignore certain indiv.
