 Post subject: Defence skills

I'm using a pure INT build and notice a major problem with surviving 1 on 1 with STR users. Now I'm tempted to get the skill that uses MP for HP and the +MP skills. So what's the general thoughts on this? Will it make me survive longer or is it just a case of "you die in 1 hit any way, but against monsters you'll notice a huge difference"?

Infact lets go a bit broader. For an INT build what defensive skills are worth using and which arn't?

there isnt really "defence skills" but to survive one on one with str users get the ice or fire wall to protect u while your busting nukes and keep your pot percentage high

Good question... Can you sit behind a fire wall and toss nukes?? The ingame description says nothing about you being immobile for the fire one, but I might have made an ass-umption. Im not quite there yet, but would like to be prepared for the eventuality.

Nukers Should be able to get a Str Build almost half way down if not more if they are same level with a nuke. Str builds dont do much damage any ways, but you are up against a blader that does fast damge then you might be gone. If you can do a nuke then pot up as he hits you then you might be okay and kill him next hit.. It just depends. I kno that if I Cape with a nuker at my level I have about less than half my hp left so I have to hit em fast as their nuke is gone. So if you can nuke and power back up quick I dont think you have a problem.

hit and run startegies.

always cold/slow them with ur lvl 1 Cold wave-Arrest ie:
Instantly launches a cold projectile, which inflicts 1 point of direct damage and causes frostbite.

nuke all the way and once the target are near,
Ghost walk-phantom will Teleports the player a few meters towards the mouse pointer. 10.0m - 21.0m away!!!

once u teleport away, cold/slow them again.


the best nuke is to have more combos and try to get the spell which had lesser casting time.
eg. Fire series and Lion Shout Series[no casting time].
