From the euro update, whenever new characters teleported from city to city and when first logging in, the Academy and Help windows popped up.

This even happened if you were level 90, with an academy of your own and knowing everything about the game.
So, i'm here to teach you how to get rid of those windows..

To be honest, its simple as hell... Simply do the first quest. Either Chinese Tutorial or Euro Tutorial

Complete the quest, that takes about 5 minutes, and you will be free of the annoying popups. Note: You cannot get rid of the ! on the right side of the screen if you are under 40 and not in an academy.

What this OP is obviously suggesting is that we reroll new characters and do the quest.

Doesn't work, I did the starter quest at lvl 1 with all my characters and I'm still getting those pop-ups.

Having the same problem, quest is easy but just cant pick it up and the pop ups are annoying after every port.

Those pop-ups seem to bother only characters created after a certain date, I don't get pop-ups on my older chars.

Unless you're an idiot, thats not at all what i was suggesting, in fact, i wasnt suggesting anything. I was simply giving a solution to a problem.
You can't do the quest past a certain level, and it only effects characters made on new accounts after the euro update.

I havnt tried it, but i think you only need to do the quest once per account, but im unsure (This is what somebody told me, and i havnt tried it). So try it, it may work.

And FYI; This is NOT bug, if players read the box first time it popped up, they would know know to do the starter quest. Joymax did this on purpose, and its the players own fault if they cant do it at later levels.

I've did that quest already 3 times on the same account when my characters were lvl 1. So this doesn't work.

guess what? this isnt the solution
for new chinese char after the euro update you cant even get the beginner quests from the general, have tried with many chars, and even different servers

Sorry, no. This bug affects Chinese characters. On my Euro chars I am able to do the first quest.

YMMV.

Was hoping to see a fix in this topic, but I guess not :/

Euro character or not, it seems like you don't always end up getting it. Of the 4 characters I made after the euro update, 2 of them gets the pop up bug. On the character that is lvl 90, I knew about the bug from a previous character and ofcourse finished the beginners quest hoping this would fix it. No change though.

Its not really that much of an annoyance after you get used to it. I always hit the Esc button twice without thinking now when ever I scroll or teleport to a new map area.

Unless you're going to the wrong npc, this quest work, and you can get it. I did it the same day i wrote this guide.

Firstly: Which server was this on? I have tried it on Venus, Olympus, and hmmm...think it was Troy. Chinese on Venus, Olympus, and Troy, also tried the Euro and it worked on Venus and Olympus. Did not try on Troy. It shouldn't matter.

Secondly: In my experience the Euro quest has not been bugged, just the Chinese one. Other people's experiences may vary. With that in mind, exactly which NPC and what location?

It's been that General guy in Jangan for eons. Already tried that early on. Perhaps some characters are bugged while others are not?

Also, I don't believe (but hey, I can be wrong) you can do the beginner's quest after a certain level.
