Is it me or Im having difficulties leveling up or finding a party these days?
It been almost 2 weeks i'v been stuck at my level,
Aint to lazy,as a Euro,I gotta find a party, and when I check the PartyMatching all I see is,
One page of "Plvl Niya,Ongs etc" or some Talkaman paries.
What is the cause if the lack of party on Venus?
People told me its because of the powerleveing, but I dont think that PowerLeveling ruined the whole party system =/
Ur thought?

Of course parties at not always available, especially at low levels. Simply go solo till 1 pops up, no biggie.

finding a party under lvl 40 takes alot of luck. after 40 there are alot more consistant parties.

I'm mid 3x and yet, I'm still rarely partyless.

Make your own dude. For me, I union chat and bingo got 1 or two others which gets the ball rolling. Then randoms join, boot the leechers, and go for it.

Best Union on the server FTW
(now sits back and watches the drama unfold, lolz)

The party system is a bit tricky not only you wont get a party that you like but most of them are PLing/ Taxi parties with a bot in it.

The trick is (make friend lists of people you know they are always on) the best friend u can make should be a tank or cleric. because those are the party starters.

The parties come in waves in venus, when BHA/Sd union came there was a wave of 10-30's now these ppl are grown ups and pt's are mostly 40-60's
So its all about being at the right place at the right time.

I hate soloing myself. So when I come online I make my parties, I pm people that I know would leave anything their doing to come and party.

The problem we've been running into; is that occasionally members of our party (in large groups mind you) will leave to go get power leveled by a high level. This has happened on more than one occasion. One time in particular, our party was short one tank (going to yacha, 7 man at the time), spanky was joining us to make it an 8-man, and then a plvl went up by a person in Avalon union, and 5 of the members (all avalon union) left our party to join it. Worst part, they didnt' tell us they were going to get plvled. Most just left w/o a word and I only found out they were in a plvl party because I asked the person plvling who was in the party out of curiosity. Functional parties should come before plvl... imo.

Didn't post this to cause drama or start crap, just functional parties should come first... not plvl. Don't want names attached to this besides mine, so you know who you are if this applies to you.

Grr, that is the one thing that rips my nightie. I won't get started too much but, bingo. If you're in a party, do it. PARTY GRINDING > PLVLING. Ok, it 'might' be a little bit slower...maybe (in a good party no way), but you learn to play your role in a party. When I'm in a party I can usually tell who in the party got plvled a lot....they always die or just aren't doing their job properly.

i am pretty strongly against plvl. you can tell REALLY quickly who in your party has been plvled and who has grinded up. clerics whose pts have lots of deaths, tanks who can't seem to hold aggro, wizards who eat dirt more than kill mobs, bards who constantly leave the pt w/ no mp and unable to cast skills... face it, we know who you are, and YOU know who you are.

if a high lvl joins my pt, i lure, i tank, i protect, i buff, i do everything a warrior is supposed to do in a pt. who cares if the person i am screening is my lvl or lvl 80? at that point it is not plvl. it is support. i am not sacrificing the time i am spending to get passively advanced by someone else; i am using, learning, and perfecting my build.

anyone who has partied with me knows that i will die before i let my ints die. how many people do YOU party with who have the same devotion to their role in a pt? EVERYONE i party with daily has that.

leaving a working pt for plvl FTL.

lol i think i got plved only once, it was by lemonkiss and SHE asked us not to do anything xD (it was a bit dangerous to run around ;) )

Other times a high lvl joined my pt i always grinded like normal and i must say everyone else in party did, so that's cool (even out of unions)

Plvl on a euro makes no sense. grinding on mobs 7-11 lvls above you is better than powerlvl, free (or even making money) and fun.

Same here.. you won't even know how many times I've had 4x/5x warriors joining my party telling me that they don't have quota/fence. It just tells me either they got plvled to that level or bot to that level. (some of which are even in the known legit guilds too, which is kind of sad) You could say they could solo'd to that level, but most likely not if you chose to be an euro character.

And imo a good organized party beats any plvling party. Even when KS_Master, a 6x wiz, who occasionally joins our low level party to help us level (btw thanks a lot KS if you're reading this), we didn't just trace him and did nothing; we healed, we lured, we tanked, we gave MP.

If I were you Goob, I would reconsider partying with people that leaves for a plvl party next time. Firstly, it's just completely rude. Sencondly, they obviously don't know much about partying thus think that a plvl party is better than a well-organized 8-man party. I'd leave a plvl party for a good 8-man party anytime. :]

/end rant

Vital Increase = more aggro. And sometimes if I cant hold them to just tank them, I keep moving to keep hitting them, so nobody is gettin constantly attacked. Just gotta do whatever works, but Vital Increase makes a world of difference in holding aggro.

I agree all the way. I got plvl'd for a bit, you know what I got from it? Bored. What's fun about sitting there doing nothing while someone else one shot's mobs. I play the game for fun, so that means I want to PLAY, not just watch someone else play, that's called TV.

Loki, it looks like you finally found some good people to party with, which is good. I know there are a few Hurricane members that are in your range looking for parties as well, Crush, OctoGinta, xXKILLXx, if you happen to see them, offer to form a party with them, they are always up for it. I see t0rch in one of your screenshots, from our guild, he's a good one to have. You guys definitely look like your having fun.

I try to share the love   so if I see my double ax who can tank btw (right amb)taking on two party regs and I am focused on the 3-4 party regs on our main tank (jehuty, sacrifice, shepard)...I tend to slide over and give the mobs a few snow wind freezes and a couple of earth shocks get one dead and the other down so the double ax can come back over with us quicker.

My other two points are watching our cleric. I am usually not the strongest wizard in the group so I keep an eye on the cleric if I see a mob moving towards the cleric or the cleric running it is a sign for me to aggro the mobs off him and at times that means move away from the bigger group of mobs we are working on. If it is a reg bunbun say then I got no prob killing alone if it is a party reg I cycle through wind, ice bolt, kb, and the cleric is most times aware that I have just pulled the mob off him and keeps a special eye on my HP. Lastly Wizards USE YOUR EARTH BARRIER......if you have it....it gives all party members 30%(level 1) physical damage absorption (granted they are all in range when you cast it). If you have 3 or more wizards in a party you can almost have a constant earth barrier going.....practice this so you all sync up. You might not realize the significance of 30% damage absorption.

BTW, a powerleveled character would have little practice doing this!!!!! pfffffttttt........party up fools. :D

just functional parties should come first... not plvl. .

well, If anyone was in their position he'll be facing either of 2 choices
1. Take ur chances whenever u can and let the Party rot in hell:
A. Apologize to the PT and leave with no Justification"
"Sorry guys, gtg, if u r still here in a couple of hours I might be back"
B. Tell a sick Lie:
"ok, gtg to bed now" and hope u don't get caught Plvl-ed
C. Twist the truth:
"ah Jeez, we've been grinding for hours, my ass feels numb, I think that means time to go now"
D. Tell the truth:
" (xyz) just offered to Plvl me, I hate to walk out on u guys, but I cud really use a plvl, u can PM him if u wanna join"
(The best "Ethical" solution, but will decrease ur popularity, makes u look kinda selfish)

2. Do the right thing:
A. Pretend that there is no Plvl and resist the temptation of the Plvl (which is a good thing to do)
B. Ask the Plvl-er if he can join ur PT and help u all out (The Best "Political" solution)

Oh u speak about partying VS Plvling , let me tell u as i have much exp on that due to the fact that me and my guild was from very very first ppl to play at Venus (from 1st day) and keep partying as much as we can , there was no higher ppl to get Plvled , u have only 3 choises :
- To party at mobs higher lvl than u
- To solo
- To bot
And we was and still fighting bots , making fun of them , working hard to beat their 24/7 work , and solo for euro character sux , also it sux for the gay exp u get , we should party everyday , and also face the fact that so many ppl still noobs , still don't know how to party and play their role , we partyed with warriors don't have qouta and fenese , or don't use taunt to lure mobs , clerics that give INT buff to rogues and warriors , wizards using LC and go to lure mobs and so many dumb things that u can imagine , and there was few legits ppl means less parties , we was lacking warriors and some other times we lacking clerics or wizards , the legits empire we have now in venus didn't build by easy , all guys at union worked hard so they learned much things to do and how to play with their classes, and that's why we owned all botters that was higher lvls and outnumbered and also have 0.5 sec delay pots with Clerics in their parties too !!!

If u need to know what's the advantages of partying all the time go watch Avalon first war at server vs 1337 guild , and watch first Urchi kill by avalon at lvl 25~28 !! or just watch any FW against botters , I remember 1st defesive war yet when botter had full +64 ppl guild (50/50) and their allies vs only 1 party of +70 and all other ppl 50~60 lvls and that was pure ownage and we enjoyed owning ppl that are +15 lvls so easily as we know what to do at parties ..

Plvl or botting don't build good character or give u any advantage , u might lvl slower at parties but u learn much tactics , meet with good ppl that can tell u what to do , learn how to survive , how to protect ur party memebrs , and many other things ..

I remeber when Volkan tried to make a legit Turkey guild and banned many +60 botters ppl that refused to turn to be legits and joined our union , he stopped botting and start to party with me and PureStr and other guild mates at yaches and bones about 3 monthes ago , and he was noobing at first days , he wasn't buffing party untile we shout at him , sometimes leave mobs with no taunt to attack clerics and wizards , was doing dumb things all the time , and it was so funny to see lvl 57 ppl in npc light armor and warrior mastery lvl 34 doing a lot better and protect party more than that botter lvl 64 fully farmed in heavy armor , but this matter didn't stayed forever , he started to learn how to play and doing better day after day yes he was learning , and after 5 days he was 50% better as he learned a lil how to play , then he decided to take the noob botting way again after we finished FW and stopped to party with us ..

sry for being long but i just spend the time i can't log into the game ... :banghead:
