Hello everybody. As you all may know, Avalon lost in the fight against epic, even though they both cheated.
Also, you may have noticed legits are being flamed constantly due to the loss... So we've got a solution.
You know there are several tricks on how to kill without getting murder status. So we're gonna use this to clear Venus ;-)

Image
Image

^ Here you have a Cleric\Wizard (MsCleric), a chinese Bowman (magickbowz) and a Warlock\Bard\cleric (delvling :P), Me (Oxymoron).
In this case, our victim will be.. MsCleric!
Why? Because we don't really wanna kill and get murder status, we just want to demonstrate.

Image
Image

Well well well, what do we have here? The archer is attacking our victim!
You may think ''omg n00bz archer don't do much damage'', we just picked magick because he was the only 1 with time to help us make this guide.. You might aswell use a wizzy for max. damage.
Your attacker attacks the victim. You've got to make sure he does not kill, because we don't want to get murder status :)
Chinese characters are NOT good for this, unless they're the DoT'ers, because they must use imbues in order to shoot, and imbues has DoT's, and DoT's=final death.

Image
Image

YES!!!!!! INSANE DAMAGE!!! LAWLZ!!!
As you can see, our attacker attacked the victim and the victim didn't die. That's a good thing.. Why you ask?
Because the warlock has to finish the job.
There's something you must not do.. DO NOT, I repeat, DO NOT use Life Control.
Your damage will get too high and you'll have murder status.

Image
Image

Now, for the grand finale!
The warlock is here to DoT the enemy, but he will not get murder status.
Why? if you DoT a player and then log out, the player will die and you will not get murder status ;-)

Image
Image

As you can see, the player is losing damage-over-time.
Also. the description says "BurnProbabillity 20%", correct? This does not matter to you, the blaze reduces his HP as it is. The burn status just reduces more! =D

Image

Here is when you save your ass. Your HAVE to click either Restart, Exit, even restart your computer. Whatever helps you logout faster.
This guide isnt supposed to be long, I just wanna be VERY clear so there aren't any questions ;)
If we do this once a week, in big parties (like raids), we can clear our server.
Bots NEVER get PK'd, because most are afraid to get murder stats\are bots themselves.
This is about to change :) Bots are set so when they die, they repair items\buy pots\go back to the same spot.. Or all together.
This will make them see they just lose money and exp, and this server sucks ass :)
I'm sure if we do this once a week, we WILL help our server be legit.
Yes, there might always be annoying goldbots, but that's something only JM can fix, and lately, they try to.
Please, show your thoughts about this.

You can trap and then log off to, but I wouldnt bother posting this here seeing as we clearly have bot supporters who are going to run and tell their little friends.

Bots are too busy...botting, back to cap to care to use it. The world is not ending, my god. And it's not like it's some undiscovered trick. Give the kids a break.

Wow, you don't have to be a fcking asshole about it. And if some botters do read here, so what? I don't think they're gonna actually babysit their bots -.-

You would be suprised how many do, none the less this would work well against people who are afk, or goldbots, as long as your warlock has prem and can re-log without having to battle the traffic. :D

Venus hardly has any traffic! And I still think this could help the server.

Erm, it works with trap to, trap is strong enough to 1 shot a 1:9 int hybrid in gear which has little or no blues if trap is farmed, the 15 second delay also gives for a little time to log off, dots on their own dont do that much dmg, and I dont think you can close the game in combat, and dots may stop you from logging off.

You can logout during combat, and DoT's have low damage, it will be hard to 1 shot DoT someone.

Well i think its a good idea. I mean alot ppl know about this and they gonna be dicks about it. Anyway, all i got to say is more and more legits hitting cap so its getting better and it just a matter of time before most bots start running. I want the gold botters gone if they leave no more taxis and no more player bots with crazy gear the economy would be great. My my if u bot 24/7 u cant stall so u buy gold so... the gold bots GOTTA GO.

Good concept. But there are other ways........Put on your trader badge, go out to ongs, and let the npc thieves do their job. No murder status there either. Thats where you have to start the fight. Get these low lvl bots getting plvld to the right lvl to start botting. If the go to bot plvl, go afak, and then come back the next day and  no xp????? what the hell? Maybe then they will stop coming to Venus. Once the new bots stop coming to venus, then we can start whiping out the capped bots. But you have to take out the little ones b4 we start on the bigger ones.

How about we all just start de buffing lower level bots (-75) with a capped warlock and spawn watchers on them? Watchers will demolish them and the de buffs only hasten the process. Same results and no murder status as the mobs do the damage dealing.

There are many ways, this is just my favourite. I like the thieving 1 too.. The point of this thread is to show that we can get it if we really want. We can get botters off venus!

ok idea, but it'll get a bit tedious after a while. best way to clear venus is to lvl. populate venus with high level legits.

or get a rogue to poison them, poison can't kill, must have a higher lvl rogue vs a lower lvl bot for best effect, you do this while they are grinding and they die if they run out of pills

Can anyone tell me the difference between abusing a bug (i.e. the DOT bug/logoff) and running a bot?

(waits for the inevitable "ur a bot supporter, gtfo")

bots are third party programs that take over the whole "leveling" aspect of the game, which is 90% of sro.

the dot/logoff free kill is not a bug. you cast an un-linked effect that just so happens to do DOT. is it a bug if i killed a pirate and then died from his poison? is it a bug if i cast fence and quota on a wiz and he took enough damage from mobs to kill me instead, but i didn't lose the 2% exp?

And I will not disagree with your statement.

However...

It all depends on how you classify this. If you don't see it as a "bug".

Quote:

If that isn't the way Joymax intended, then yes. Only Joymax knows, right?
