Currently you can trade TF2 items, gifts, and extra copies of games you own off Steam with the beta trading client. More information with the link below

I'm surprised they added this, but with future games of Valve having inventories and this said

I don't know what to say other than.. I can actually trade my TF2 items and extra games legitly now.

Proof valve likes to make tons of money from unusals via games. But I'm down I'm about to get another unusal I can sell for a game or 2

I think it's more to have legit trading between steam gifts. Leaving more room for profit whenever a sale arises. I would image a lot of people purchasing a game, because it's cheap to trade later on.
