UNS2 is an amazing game, too bad you play on the ps3, I have no one to play with on the 360.
I keep getting raped and I ragequit alot, plus my friends hate playing it when they come over 'cause even tho I suck against online people I can own them with spam spam spam.

Lol ragequitting is kind of pointless. Besides, how can you get better if you ragequit? It took me a lot of losses before I managed to be really good at this game.
On a side note, this clan leader that I want to challenge is taking forever to reply to my messages!
Apparently too busy finishing their website.
She's the one using Hinata. Seems like a pretty good opponent - I've been playing for 2 hours now and haven't had a single loss and I went down below 50% HP only once. And I've only used my main character on one player so far. Hmmm......

Is this like MVC3? (Marvel VS Capcom 3) Cause I got that game, and trade in right away... The game was hella fun, combos and stuff but it is online wise, more likely. And you know... Online...

Yeah...they could have just added them in as DLC but I guess they want their annual revenue from UNS games. And yes Miro, it's mainly online. As for the community - it's an anime fighting game for Naruto (you get my point). I actually don't mind people crying and complaining on PM; making all sorts of excuses as to why they believe they lost - kind of like a trophy collection for me so that's no biggie lol.
You'll get the hang of the gameplay after a few days (talking about beyond basic tactics) for fighting online opponents. If you have a PS3, I'll practice with you from time to time so you can learn some neat tricks / Dos-&-Donts once you get quicker with the buttons.

While we're on the subject, how the **** can I counter Pain support. I hate it when he does that "whirlwind ball" thing. Once my friend does that, he just locks me in till the fight is over.

Lol...I actually use Pain and Itachi as my main support whenever I use Naruto or Kiba (or some other melee characters).
Spoiler!
First of all, do not mindlessly rush into (chakra dash) someone with an active Pain support unless you have a plan in mind. Either block it or sub would do just fine. Don't release block until the ball is gone because some people get hit at the last moment and watch your opponent because he might try to grab you while you're blocking Pain (which means you should sub while blocking). He's much faster when used on the air as well. I suggest letting your friend use Pain and try to attack you first...then aim for a counter attack while he's on recoil. Depending on who your character is, the fastest one would be the best option but in some cases, using an exploding tag/ball or a support (mid-air Pain/Sakura for speed) would do the job. If you want to lure your friend into wasting Pain's support, do a jump block (pressing block while jumping ONCE) to make him think he can hit you, then aim for a counter-attack.
Note: Pain's shinra tensei (whirlwind ball thingie) can stop anything.
Against long range attacks, melee jutsus (rasengan/etc), utlimate jutsu = Shinra tensei wins
Triple UJ = Draw (no damage - everyone stops)
In case you weren't aware, the easiest way to substitute is to rapidly press one of the two block buttons repeatedly. ("R2 mashing" for the PS3)
Speaking of being in a lock; I should've recorded my matches with a PSN friend - 6 team matches (3-3 score) using melee characters only (not allowed to use our main). My hand was aching like hell after the fights because all matches were almost completely toe-to-toe mid and close combat. Subbing in after 2-3 hits each, then a counter attack..then it gets even worse when we're both in awakening mode lol. I won against him 4-0 when we used our main XD

Beware:
All the opponent needs to do is jump around you tossing shuriken to disrupt your attacks/movement - even if you teleport above their heads. If you try to dash + combo, good players can simply sub through it and attack you.

bump with update
So..R2 button is only for guarding now. Like before, the guard has a breaking limit. The substitution is now on the L2 button. However, due to a bunch of whining children with fingers too fat to press R2 quickly enough, the L2 substitution uses a bar different from the chakra gauge now. You can only use it 4 times in a row but you get more chances to build the bar up throughout the match. It's sort of an improvement though since it forces people to make better offensive/evasive strategies rather than just trying to sub through attacks. It does give characters like Kankuro and Sasori an advantage though because they can use their puppets as primary guards, therefore making it easier to conserve substitution points. Not sure what else was changed in the battle system although I'm dead curious about a few things like the ability to jump block, tag+UJ/3UJ, or which situations would make players unable to block/sub (which are the vital split-second chances top players aim for in NUNS2).

Finished the story mode in 2 hours more or less. I skipped all the cut scenes and went right to the matches. They're more focused on the online fighting aspect of the game now rather than the story. There's no more roaming around the story mode since they realized people don't really buy the game for that and it's just a huge waste.
My only problem in this game is that it's very noob-friendly. It limits what the good players from Storm 2 can do by nerfing the aspects of UNS2 that depended on timing and speed. Now people can safely block UJ even when they're being careless and depend on who can get more spamming attacks in. It also lets people abuse characters with multiple hit jutsus to finish off the opponents' very limited substitution bar -- which leads me to say that grab/throwing is more spammable than ever. I like the added depth but in the end, the game was made to cater to the demands of the whining noobs who got repeatedly owned in Storm 2.

Lol you'll get spammed with it if you just stand in 1 place. I don't think the nerfing would apply to your gameplay if you weren't a heavy player on Storm 2 since I'm talking about throwbacks + UJ or air toss + UJ. Those single big damage hitters.
I had to completely change my style of play to nearly full combo. I don't win as much as I used to but I still win about 14/15 matches (bad compared to my 49/50 in Storm 2)... then again, I'm just starting out in Generations.

Full RPG = NUNS1 Semi RPG = NUNS2 No RPG = Generations
NUNS1 is the least one that resembles a fighting game though. The charging of jutsus, the jutsu clash, Awakening mode default characters, and no online mode -- blahhh...
I like Generations because it pretty much skips all the BS running around and gets right to the fighting. Although, unlike 1 and 2, Gen doesn't have interactive fighting cutscenes which were the highlights for the previous games. I rushed the story mode just to complete my character roster before I go online. In any case, if you're into competitive play = Generations or Storm2.
