So guys, I wanted to play some MW1 with a friend today but since I had to wait I went on MW2 first for a while. The problem is that I never even got to the menu. As soon as the game is loading the menu it will exit out of the game and return to home. So I thought weird but no biggy, I'll just get on MW1 and play some. Unfortunately the same thing happens as soon as I go into multiplayer and hit play online. I've read a ton of 'fixes' for this problem and I followed a few but none of that worked so far. That's why I'm here asking for your noble help.

So far other games work just fine so it's not my ps3 in any way and neither my connection. I tried different accounts which didn't work as well as removing my game data. As a last resort I went into the 'secret menu' and did a full reset of my system. Ofcourse I forget the pw to my account and I can't recover it (email blocked and shit) so I made a whole new account but the problem is still there.

Does anyone have any idea what could cause it and how I can resolve it? It's not a life breaker but it would be nice if I could play CoD with some friends once in a while.

Ok I guess no one has any idea. I managed to get it working by unplugging every other device from my router (both wired and wireless as far as I know). I can't game like that unfortunately because I'm not the only one on the connection, I was just lucky the other guys weren't home so I could try it out. I guess it's a step in the right direction, but I doubt IW will make an update for it ._.

I'm not very familiar with the way Xbox360 works but I'll try...

- If you're playing the game from the hard drive, can't you try doing a wipe and reinstalling?
- clean cd?
- unplug and plug everything on the xbox (I've had occasions where this magically fixed certain hardware...)
- clean xbox?
- Maybe some sort of resolution inconsistency? I tried playing prototype once after switching monitors and it gave an error cause the resolution was wrong... Had to find a 1280x1024 monitor to plug in, just so I could switch the settings D:. So maybe try it on another tv?

Never had it on the hdd, but I did do a clean wipe as stated in the first post (I believe)
- clean cd? I can try it but that shouldn't be the problem
- unplug and plug everything on the xbox (I've had occasions where this magically fixed certain hardware...) Haven't tried that but I can give it a shot I guess.
- clean xbox? Do you mean the surface by that? What impact could that have?

As I said in my own reply, it worked as soon as I unplugged everything else from the router >.< I wonder if there is any truth in the utorrent problem, but even if it's true I can't tell my housemates to remove it from their pc's lol

Brainfart D:
I'm so used to hearing CoD in combination with Xbox. I forget that it even exists on ps3 xD.

Anyway:
clean the insides -__-. It's a computer non? Dust gathers and fucks it up.
Also if you never had it on a HDD, maybe attempt to install it?

That's all I can say to help you :[. I don't own one of these so I'm out. Just try anything you can think of if it persist, It'll probably turn out to be something really silly.

Well installing it on the hdd is an option I guess. But since it's a pc it shouldn't see the difference between two games right? Because motorstorm works perfectly o.o

I'll try instalilng though, who knows :)

/Edit: Well it wasn't possible to install the game on the HDD. As a last resort I tried hooking it up through a wireless connection on the router. Also didn't work. Then I was like what the hell lets try the wireless option on the modem and BAM it worked while all the other devices are connected to the router. I'll have to hand in a bit of my OP connection speed but atleast I can play again...
