I just hit 12 and I'm a mage priest. Priest is only level 1 but I love the game. I was on channel 2 and i was wondering why my horse wasn't working because my friend on the other channel was riding his and I was higher level, took me while to figure out that channel 2 horses are bugged -.-
Yeap, game is good indeed. I'm liking 2 things very much. One, the community and two, the crafting system. I'm lvl19 on blacksmith and armoring and I'm making loads of gold by putting them the items I make in the auction system.
Also, it seems like most people going for the PvP server, just to let people know you WILL get raped/owned when you hit lvl15 by other people, unless you are like in a group of people grinding together. BTW, when you die too much you get penalty and your xp and tp get decreased by a half or so (this last for a while). I basically, got tired of that bs and went for thePvE server (Osha), . I can PvP any time I want, and I can grind peacefully.
Ranking System is so cool. Like seeing my name on the top
Anyways, anyone coming to Osha send me a pm or letter (in-game), and I will help you out with quests and will give you a guild.

Wrong.
It was like that for the 5 five minutes until people realized that after you kill a couple people, every time you approach a town the guards 1 hit you and you lose exp.
The PKing has pretty much stopped. The penalty is really steep and any murderer gets raped at the spawn point.
Only gripe at the moment is the lack of skill points (Talent Points). You only get enough to fully raise 3.5 skills out of 25 skills and skill reset is CS item only.
EDIT
Anyone thinking of playing this game, remember that your graphics card needs to support Pixel Shader 2.0 to run. All supported cards are listed in the devices.ini file.
I haven't seen any bots or gold spammers. The network traffic is encrypted so hopefully it will take them a really long time to crack it.
1) If I'm a mage/knight. Can I wear plate while not leveling my knight? I had the idea of going plate on my mage to boost it's low def. And the mage skills could boots the dps of the knight if needed.
2) Are talent points like SP in SRO? I mean will I be able to farm as many as I want at the cap or are they limited?
3) Any pointers for skills of a mage. The what skills deserve TP and what skills should be left alone. BTW I'm on the EU PvP server. IGN: Dagnarus. lvl 9 Mage.

1) no. The only useful things from going mage/knight are the two passives, but you can get a lot more with other classes. The three best subs for mage are priest/scout/rogue.
2) Yes, but you can only farm them at cap.
3) Put all your points in Flame, Fireball, and Wisdom. A lot of skills (like Lightning) don't do much damage and you only want to use them for their effects. The points you put in don't extend the duration that long, so just use it at level 1. All the electric skills are useless compared to fire. They might have uses later, but for now just put points in flame/fireball/wisdom.
Was going to go to Krynn but figured when i was trying to level up, assholes would be trying to attack me. Least i think they can force PvP on you, time to go to the site to see how it works.

I see your point of getting attacked by guards, but that's the point. Those people that get attacked by guards and are crying about it are because they didnd't know about it, but if they do a little bit of research they would of known.
Basically in this game you can be 2 things, an 'Evil' char and a 'Hero' char. To become a top evil char, one have to kill white chars (what you are at the beggining), good chars or hero chars. To become top hero char, one have to kill anyone in the dark side, that is anyone that is not white, not good nor hero.
Both have advatanges and disadvantages. In a nutshell, I will list a couple. It's a LOT easier to become a top evil char (have to kill less people), thus you can earn some stats + bonus dmg and def faster (therefore, they can lvl up faster when grinding, since they kill faster and not die as frequently). Also you will be become feared in the server, which is cool IMO. However, evil chars have higher propabilities of dropping gear when dying. And yes, Evil chars will be attacked by guards, but later on those guards will be easy to kill for them. Probably not till lvl30+. So maybe, people will stop killing for now at lvl15-16 or till when they can kill the guards, but as soon as they know when they are able to kill the guards to get to town they WILL pk again and any chars below their lvl will suffer, especially when they gank you with their guild (for simplicity of post I won't talk about gear ATM).
Hero chars take a LOT longer to become an 'hero' char (for simplicity of this post I won't post the colours of the good and bad chars). They won't drop so much stuff when dying. They also gain stats + bonus dmg and def, but again it takes them a lot longer.
As for me, I'm becoming an Hero char and I will PvP when I'm not grinding or when I enter the PvP arena. I just don't like to get killed while I'm grinding all of a sudden. And I repeat, when you die (get killed), you get penalties, hence you will lvl slower. If you get killed over and over, go figure how you going to lvl .
For LAZY PEOPLE, just READ THIS PART: one can put the FLAG on, if they wanna PvP and grind at the same time in PvE servers, however in the PvP server you will always have the FLAG on after lvl15.
I'm not encoraging people to come to the PvE server (in case you thought so), I'm just letting people know the cons and prons of the PvE and PvP server and how they will impact your game-life (I know sound like meh, but couldn't find a better word).
Game is little 'complex' at the beggining but you will rather quickly pick up things in the game. If you do come to PvE server Osha, feel free to PM me for any questions or help in game.
ATM I'm playing and we started to have drama between 2 guilds (1-soon-tobe-guild). 1 was created and is intending to be the Evil group and the other will be just for Hero chars.
---------------------------------------------------------------------- For simplicity of this post I didn't explain much about Evil and Hero chars. I used the words 'evil' and 'hero' many times and might give you the impression that if you are bad you are evil or if you are good, you are hero. There are steps to becoming evil or hero. Those steps are colour, but since most of you have no clue I'm talking about, I won't list them.
Happy Crafting! (Just woke up, bare with my english )

Thx Dom. I'll go for my 1st choice which is mage/priest.
And 0l3n, I'm on the EU PvP server. IGN see above. But won't be able to play today. My internet is a bit f*cked up today, but should be fixed tomorrow.
Well i like the game so far. Love the idea of the mob dropped buffs. Come in handy, even if they are just 2 minutes. Get a lot of equipment, even if some isnt that great. Have gotten a few green gears. Course im only a lv 9 warrior...probably go 2H axe with priest as a 2nd..

We have a couple Knight/Priests in the guild and they're pretty good. If you need help with the end-chain quest bosses, whisper me.
