lol. Diablo's fight, although a little easy, is very well done. I love the three phases equally. Caught me off guard the first time I did it. I wasn't expecting a Phase 3 so I sort of sat back and got pooped on without noticing.

Can I continue a character that I've started on a pass once I buy the game?

Nice. I, humbly, am repeating Diablo II until I get my copy soon. Won't be playing too much but certainly when I get to play, I will enjoy it as much as I could. Not sure what class to pick, but certainly Demon Hunter is picking my attention.

(anything not Barbarian or Monk at higher difficulties and you'll have fun)

That said I started Hell and Barbarian isn't too bad so far. I tried some multiplayer but it was really laggy so I dipped out. I do need to change my play style a ton for Inferno though.

I played coop with this random wizard, holy shit she just blew threw everything like butter. None of the sub bosses in act 3 lasted more than 10 seconds against her ;___;

After farming the whole weekend, I think i'm ready to start A2. I wish I could have gotten my armor up to 8500 but I don't have the cash needed to replace my low armor pieces and maintain my resistance.

Bought new pants and chest. I got the chest for a Farking steal.

Paid 140k and it's 600 armor (+200 or so), 170 vit with the socket, 56 all res, life regen, reduces melee damage by 3%.

I think you need more sockets (?).

All res gear with high armor, sockets, and vitality runs into the millions of gold a piece.

I swapped my shield and 1h for a 2h and now i'm shitting all over act 1; it's stupid.

I finally started making gold yesterday. It's the first time i've had more than 300k at once on me. Yeah!

jeez thats a ton of resistance. I mostly visit the monk forums but i see most of them in Act2 with about half that amount. That doesn't feel like overkill?

Also im lvl 58 on my monk. I'd be 60 but im waiting for some friends to catch up so we can all go die in Inferno together...as a team

dom : just curious, what would be your priority order for stats for barb?

resist all, vitality & % hp increase, armor, life kill / hit, str, life regen?


And why did you said you have it easier with a 2h than with 1h & shield in inferno? That does not sound right

Hey guys. so im lvl 40 as a demon hunter and lately ive been dying so much it blows... cant even do a boss fight alone... up till act 2 i was fine.. then all a sudden i kept dying way faster.. im in nightmare it shouldnt be that harder. What are some stats i should be looking for? lol i know i need dex and vit but anything else?

Get 1-2 defensive skills such as a snare/stun, invest on a couple vitality items, and that's it.

1 all res = 10 int = 10 strength = 10 armor

People like to mention diminishing returns when you stack, armor for example, over X%. That's not completely true. There's diminishing returns on the % increase but it still improves your effective health at the same rate.

The only time you can really get affected by "diminishing returns" is when you have a big imbalance between all res and armor.

For example, if you have 10,000 armor and only 200 all res, 10 more all res will be better than 100 more armor (remember 1 = 10 when everything is balanced).

I overstacked pure armor (no strength) and all res. I had about 3.5 DPS before I bought my 700 something DPS weapon (then it didn't pass 5k by much). Because my gear had so much all res and armor, I could use a 2H and triple (and quadruple with skills) my DPS. That's why it was better for me.

I'm aiming for 8,500 armor, 850 resist; then balance STR and VIT to 1:1. It's easier to get to with a shield (my shield has 1,100 armor and 50+ all res). But, when the rest of my gear gets good enough, i'll swap to a 2H permanently.

In Act 1 you don't need 8,500/850. Right now i'm aiming for about 7,000/700 (with 2H).

The one time I actually have a lot of time to play this game, servers are down.

Making a DH, because my Monk in Inferno is almost impossible to solo for farming. I'm at like 29k hp, 5k DPS, 9k armour (buffed), 560 resistances, and I can tank an elite pack fairly well (even with 2 others in game), but I am way too slow to kill anything before the enrage timer.

I guess I'll come back to my Monk when pvp comes out, or when I have shitloads more gold, and I know DH's deal massive DPS, but die real easy, but idc. If anyone wants to come play the whole way through again, add me Snazzy#6835.

I rolled a wizbro. From what I hear they have comparable DPS to DH (less on single, more on AoE), but a lot better survivability. I think he's 15 now.

Yeah, I have like a 8 wiz too, but my irl mate, and brother are making wizards, and I don't want an all wiz party 24/7, lol.

As i was watching some videos on youtube i've found countless videos of people saying there is currently a hack going around where people sell all your stuff to vendor , im not even sure how the game looks inside , but should i like wait before playing public until they fix it? Or those just some rumors?
