I used to think IW was better than treyarch, but after playing the POS that is MW2 and now MW2.5... IW is worthless... IMO.

I rather play a game based of a great game with improvements on quite some fronts + the fixes of a ton of annoyances than having to deal with that shitty hit detection of Treyarch o.O

Dunno what you're all crying about. I'm having way more fun with MW3 than I ever did with BO and MW2.

I was quite sceptical becouse everyone kept saying it's going to be exactly like MW2 now I'm just glad that I spent the 60 euros on it. It differs a lot from MW2 yet still keeping it Modern Warfare.

Oh fuck yes. I am a Rush whore and nothing pisses me off more than being the only one on my team not trying to camp kills. I'm split between this and bf3 atm. I wish Call of duty had more dynamic and interactive maps. (take for example, gears 3 thrashball map) That would be cool. Could you imagine a helicopter crashing into a map on cod? Once you play the maps a few times, you know where everyone is camping.. and it all becomes stale quick.

It was raining really hard last night so i posted something saying "Even the weather hates campers"

then these two mexican kids go "ITS NOT CAMPING IF THE KID HAS SKILLS" and "Its more like tactical waiting"

I laughed so hard at them.

Get kill streaks. Don't know how many, but once you get so and so many kill streaks with Hardline, it'll go pro. You can also check the challenges for perks and it'll tell you.

I wasn't going to get MW3 just because I didn't really have any interest in playing it. While talking to a guy who was hyped up about the end of the storyline, I decided to buy it.

I got it now but I don't think i'm going to play it until i'm done with Uncharted 3's singleplayer.

I got it on xbox if anyone wants to do co-op. I'm not really interested in the other online modes.

That's exactly why people are complaining. It's pretty much like a sports game. Very little change. It's unrealistic to say that people are expecting a whole new concept. If you compare the changes from MW2->MW3 to other games like Mass Effect 1->2, Gears 2->3, Battlefield:BC2->BF3, Halo 3->Reach, etc. then you'd see how little of a difference there is between MW2/3.

Havent gotten an osprey yet.. just got hardline pro so ill probably make a setup for it eventually.

I'm only level 30~ atm, most used setup is:
Scar-L w/ red dot sights
FMG9
concussion nades/ semtex
slight of hand pro
hardline pro
stalker pro
carepackage/attack helicopter/ac-130

my first 5 hours have been pretty fun, seeing all the new maps and all.

I've had my fair share of lag though :(

I got 1 friend that plays Bf3 only and when we play, we are the only 2 on objectives. I am obsessed with rush because it's so linear and fun, but it's too reliable on teamwork and NO ONE EVER HAS A FUCKING MIC...

The only person on my XBL friends list that plays BF3 is Nick Invaders, but he never plays with me ):
BUT NOW I FOUND YOU

Good god, the amount of 100% achievement you have on your games.

even a lot of the aesthetics look copy-pasted from mw2. that's just extra lazy.
if you wanted to be cup half full though, 16 maps for $60 is pretty good considering call of duty's infamous map prices in comparison to other games.

Right I too would like to compare it to MGS2->MGS3, FFVI->FFVII, also I would like to add that I am quite disappoint we cannot ride tanks nor blow up buildings I was so looking forward to that. Honestly anyone whos taken 15 minutes or so to look up the videos of CoDXp woulda saw what the game was like from a mile away....
Ontopic: The only problem I have with the game atm is the size of the maps...I mean wtf were they thinking. Also can you point out a new concept in BF3 that wasn't in BFBC2? Cause BF3 just feels like an update BFBC2 to me and I'm not complaining. Atm I probaly wont buy any map packs unless it includes Afghan or Wasteland in it somewhere... :sohappy:

BF3 runs on a whole different engine than BFBC2, I think you can figure it out from there ;)

I also see a lot of MW3 producers on youtube complaining about the maps and how they have a shitload of buildings you can hide in looooll! Not only is it a 60$ map pack, but the maps are a disappointment too

What exactly is changed in BF3's gameplay opposed to BFBC2 then? Not much AFAIK, same with CoD lol

+1 for OMG TACTICAL LIGHT, NOW I GOT THE POWER OF THE SUN IN MY GUN. BLINDED MOTHERFUCKER!

Or, "ok, after this game, I'm done." *Game ends* *Tries to exit lobby* "WHERE THE FUCK IS THE EXIT LOBBY OPTION, I DON'T WANT TO QUIT THE WHOLE GAME NOR WAIT FOR THE NEXT ROUND TO START, FUCK YOU BF3"

I can keep going. The annoyances I have for MW3 are FAR FAR less than BF3.

Good job on comparing a COD game that doesn't come out every year, to a sports game that basically is named after each year it comes out...

Two completely different types of games, and two different styles of development.

And the fact that I can't just play splitscreen co op i mean whats the deal with that?
ontopic: I want afghan/wasteland in a mappack ASAP this small/median engagment thing they have going with these maps is just chaotic I like can't stop for more then 15 secs or 3 guys are gonna spawn on my rear. I'm so close to lvl31 on my L118, after that gonna get gold Deagles. Also has anyone play groundwar yet that shit must be insane, I don't wanna try it at all yet my kd would plummet since I'm lvling up my L118 atm.

Not much of the gameplay has changed; which is why I never brought it into the argument, but the difference is on the scale of Counter Strike 1.6->Counter Strike: Source, same shit, but on a completely different engine; so it has a whole different feel to it.
People aren't calling MW3 MW2.5 for nothing, some are even beginning the call the game outdated now.

@Joey, yeah the option to exit out of the lobby is pretty annoying, idk why they didn't add one :S
But having a tactical light blinding your screen isn't that much of an obstacle. You just have to shoot dead straight into the light and you'll get a hit marker for at least 3/4 of the shots you fire. By the time they're close enough to blind and kill you, it means 1 of 2 things: you're a terrible shooter and couldn't put him down when his tactical light only took up about 1/4 of your screen, or you turned the corner and the light is in your face, and you eat a shitload of bullets. But hey, tactical lights aren't meant to blind you amirite?
If it makes you feel any better, I'm the asshole running around Grand Bazaar with a shotgun mounted with a tactical light :sohappy:

Don't get me wrong, I'm not a BF3 fanboy, I'm just saying what I can from what i've seen/played. I actually played CoD before I ever played BF.

With what has been said and done, I can expect CoD 5 to be a hell of a game.

How much did you expect to change?
They've introduced survival mode
16 new levels of spec ops
Whole new campaign
New multiplayer maps and modes
New guns, skins and levling system
The sound is also better imo.
