You still have to buy Kinect with the slim Xbox. Only difference is with Slim, you will be able to plug Kinect into the Xbox and play. With older ones, plug into Xbox and the wall.

The Kinect support is basically the Xbox Slim being able to power the Kinect, while the older ones can't.
