I'm not going to lie, though. RuneScape was a really good game when I played it. Sure, now it's a bit too over-obsessive about the security and stuff, but, I don't know. It was actually fun. Not a grindfest.

Oh My God, Runescape miss it, Took me a year to get only lv.67 Combat, If I'd knew that after wasting a year doing all free quest that I coudnt do nothing after cuz I wasnt member,I woudnt of played it, I remember how I got like lv.50 Mining in a year and lv.60+ Fishing,Cooking,Woodcutting and Firemaking in 2 mounths lol xD Didnt know they removed the Wildy, meh anyways, didn't like the thing that when you die you only keep 3 item's on you,but I woudnt really bother playing RS again with a Graphic Update+Member... EDIT: I tried to creat a account earlier, but there no way to have a name with no Number's...they always propose me a name with number's,how to get a name with no number =/

I used to play Runescape since the days of scythes and Santas selling for 120k. Back then everything was great, the community WAS older and more mature, the swear filter eased down. I went through many phases through that game.
I will never go back to that game for many reasons. - The community is drowned with 9 - 12 year old children nowadays - Wilderness was everything to me, I was a hardcore pker and everything revolved around pking. - Merchanting is lost - Dueling, the most intense addrenaline rushing mini game is lost aswell. - Hackers and scammers everywhere.
The game is lost to a main audience of immature children that would report you for even mispelling something and ending up saying " ***** " in which they would wanna report you in hopes of one day being elected a player mod.
Graphics are meaningless when they try to make up for all of that lost gameplay and community. It WAS an amazing game. I remember going into the wildy with partyhats, I was one of the first few tank rangers in the game, being unstoppable and feared when teaming up with my bro on pk trips. Those glory days of regulars at the fishing guild talking smack about eachother and just talking whatever is on their mind. >_>

the only reason worth playing rs is the variety they offer especially for members
I doubt you can ever find another mmo (maybe wow) with as much variety as rs

Lol I remember when I used to be so addicted to Runescape... I finally decided to buy membership for the $5, and I did duel arena staking. I made like 5mil a day, and then took the rest of the week to "grind" and lvl up. I was for the most part a range lover. My range was def getting near 99, stopped at 89 and quit when they started the updates. 1st update that pissed people off was the No staking, or staking cap, then next came no trading above 3k, grand exchange, no wildy...etc. Ever since those I havent logged on, I just gave my cousins the acc and let them play or do watever with it. If they ever bring back all the things that used to be there, and the graphics REALLY improve, then who knows if its worth a shot again.

i did played runescape a bit in ~2006. it was fun, as i didnt know any other mmorpgs . but like others have said, the 3k/15 mins and taking out the wilderness took a whole chunk outta the game :\. there is no reason to be a pure anymore if u want to tranfer gold from 1 account to the other, its gonna take a whole day, since i didnt do quests at all >.>. even tho i cant see the updated graphics now, i doubt its gonna be any good... rs has had a lot of graphic updates, many that didnt even look like anything had changed . w/e happens to the game, i wont go back to playing it until they get skills like in sro. almost everything in rs looks the same :\. btw, the grand exchange made it worser. black schimis that cost ~10k now cost 1k -.-.

it's like an offline stall network and I think it has unlimited transfer (you put up an offer of 3k willows for 20 ea and if somebody is interested, they buy it and you can collect it at the bank)
I hate the 15min rule cause it's harder to transfer stuff between my characters using 2 computers - the more quest points you have the more you can exchange so it's nice for members with many quests you know what I always did when exchanging stuff to other chars?? My good char would take stuffs out of the bank, then I would go to a quiet place where nobody ever goes, and then drop it there. then my other char who would get the stuffs would go there and collect it. and have them stuffs. Easy adn simple, and almost impossible to go wromg. Runescape.. the good old days... My first MMORPG. I loved it. But now that I've played SRO and Rohan, I can't take RS anymore. When I walked through a "forest" in RS, you walk through some small bonzai trees. When you walk through a "Forest" in Rohan, you walk through a god damn forest with trees high as crap, and stuff like that. ^first example that RS is now crap. I once made a whole pro/con list with RS and SRO, so...

they took out the pk part of wildy but to "compensate" this, they added new mini games: bounty hunter (lose items if dead like in wildy), clan wars (no items lost), arena for non members (no items lost), and fist of gultix (no items lost)

Lol I remember I got pwned when I was drop trading. One day I went to a remote, quiet area and made sure no1 would be there, and I dropped 1mil. Right as I click the logout button to quickly log in the other acc and pickup the gold, I saw somebody log in in that exact spot. So I quickly tried to log back in and pick up the gold, but all of a dam sudden my internet wouldnt respond. (had to end task)I quickly logged back in only to see the random noob take my gold and log out. That was total bull.. but oh well idc. I am soo glad that happened, as that was the final step to making me quit the game
