Sorry to interrupt Sacch, but if people can't stand the grindfest that is SRO, why do they even play MMO's O.o

MMO's = Grindfest in some way, shape or form; no matter what. I personally find it fun (grinding that is lol). I tried Requiem awhile back, didn't like it; heard some cvnt I didn't like from a game here was playing it so I stopped too xD. GL and have fun with it tho, sounds like you're doing great :)

Requiem grinding is nothing compared to sro. You don't even have to sp farm. Just a few grinding lvls and the rest is questing. And, I was only pickin on em ;p

People play cause its fun BEFORE it turns to grinding, then its just repetitive and I need more excitement to keep me entertained...course the drops were too frequent, sure you get a ton of yellows but you always do so that part wasnt fun anymore.

It's very fun grinding in parties, no discrimination etc. Jackal and I made enough friends to the point where they come looking for us to party with. We have run through Secret Lab about 5 times now. All those yellow Supernus drops add up to nothing, at lvl 55 all gear is either ordinary or Eximius. Even at almost lvl 58 I only have 400k lant, no reinforced equipment only my lvl 50 staff. Eximius staff is 480k lant and reinforcing it with Eximius xeons would/will cost an assload. Those frequent yellow drops weren't frequent enough. I won't have enough for lvl 60 gear.

Yea, I love the drop system in Requiem, it has like its own verious Seal sets, at 30+ your able to get Supernus items, they arent to commen at first but a lil higher lvl they are, but there still good, then later they arent that rare at all, and Eximus becomes a new supernus, so now you got more rare items to be able to find, then it happens agian at 70 with Rare items. Not to mention aside from all the supernus/eximius/rare(and carus which isnt ingame yet for like 90 or so) there are special sets which give bonus so thats more rare drops to find ;d.

Req makes sure you don't go out grind for an hour and find only 1 drop, you find lots, they might be useless Ordinary ones even at 50+ when you need Eximius, but you can break them down for Xeons still, or npc for some gold ;d.

Indeed, when you have premium.

Psh, the grinding still didn't even really start until 35 without a premium.

Sacch actually couldn't connect not to long ago, some Error 06 stuff, she sent a ticket to the supposrt group, and it was fixed in like 2 mins lol.

Gravity totally pwns Sro too, updates only take like 1-3 months to get translated from Korean Req as well.

A Bigger, Better way to level with Premium.

Follow the grinding list above until you reach level 36. At this time, kill Goblin Warriors outside of Mercy Gate until level 40. At 40, stop questing; simply save the quests for later (you'll see why in a minute. Instead, grind on Goblin Healers at Arnal Watertower, or do Wrecked Ship Parties (Not suggested to grind Wrecked Ship solo until at least 45. Your DPS simply won't be high enough before it to make it worthwhile), Secret Lab to farm your level 46 jewelry set, or AT for your Armor. Once you reach a comfortable level of 47 and 75% experience, begin questing. If this is done with a scroll and with premium, one is able to easily quest all the way to 63/64.

Should I try this without prem? It seems good, I would get 10 or 11 levels instead of 16/17 right?

Indeed, when you have premium.

Even without. It's an mmo, you're gonna have to learn to tolerate the little bit of grinding in req and you're gonna have to start being social or at least try looking for parties. Yes, try grinding from 40-47. It's what we did, from 40-45 anyway. Wish we didn't stop at 45.

Or can't you be "arsed"?

On another note, now you can get some free cash shop items!

No, you don't give your ID or Pass and yes it works, Jackal and I both have our items.

Dunno. Rohan's graphics and controls were so horrendous I uninstalled it within 10 minutes.

This game has no real PVP so if you are into PVE only, its great. The classes are way unbalanced and a low level magic user can kill people many levels higher just based on speed alone. There are no wars, no real free PVP unless you join a PK server. It's a pure grind game that gets super old, super fast. Be prepared to walk a lot and slowly because to get a mount you must pay for an item mall item. You also have to pay to get a decent amount of drops, avatars are for "rent" only and get a premium to keep the super slow grind from boring you to death which is the biggest horror of this game.

This game has 3 servers. One is dedicated to PvP (Free for all pk basically), the other 2 are not. But you can still PvP/dual people on these 2 other servers. If you want to PK then you'd join that server, wouldn't you?

Pure grind game. No, nothing like that. Have you even played this game long enough? Do you know about the quest system? The cap is lvl 71. You can quest alone from lvl 1-35, grind/quest starts, lvl 53 quests pick up more and from lvl 53 you can quest alone to 62-63. So how is that a grind fest? If you participate in Server vs Server all the points you get (win or lose, hit anyone even once without a kill and even just being there alone and doing nothing) you can use to buy exp scrolls that are instant exp. I used 4 yesterday and got 50% exp. What more could you ask for? SvsS is fun and easy to rack up points for exp.

Be prepared to walk alot? Do you know those blue dots on the map are wingriders? right? There are no long walks like Perfect World or Rohan. Not even close. You get a mount that lasts forever from a lvl 30 quest for 50k, which you should have plenty of money to afford at that point. You have an option to buy 2 other mounts from item mall.

You don't have to pay anything to get decent drops, you fight elite mobs, but you know that already, right? Avatars are a luxury. They add 500mp/hp. Wooo big deal. It's not like sro where if you don't have one you are pretty much useless against PvP.

Grinding is slow in this game, if you solo. Partying goes fast and proves beneficial. They even have their own roll system so people can avoid QQing. Grinding in a party for only a few lvls compared to SP farming alone in sro is nothing, but you'd also be familiar with the mind numbing obvious difference I'm assuming.

It seems you gave this game 5 days max before you got pissed and logged out. Jackal and I are now lvl 61 and from everything I've said I've said it from experience, not from reading it somewhere. Yes he and I have a premium but that was right before lvl 50 when we got one.

Jackal, Melez and I are on Lintra. HejsaN is on Valdes.

Uhh yea, if anything this is the least grinding game i've ever played, there are so many quest and they give a lot of exp, even without premiums.

Decent lvling, No bots, GMs, Awesome service, and Quick updates + moar.

Requiem is a sweet game.

Don't take it like some personal attack. You sound like you made the game and I am insulting your work. I didn't like it. I think I am allowed to not like a game and tell others why. I thought it was boring. I like PVP based games where you can kill other players. You can't really do that in this game unless you ask first so only noobs or people who know they can beat you will accept. BORING PVP. It kinda depends on how you judge games and what you like. I get tired of running to grind... running to turn in a quest... running back to grind... yeah I know about the airplane things but they are real time and barely faster than running. Im glad you like it, I didn't and I am explaining why.

You are indeed entitled to your opinion, I was only trying to correct all the wrong info that you provided. Why don't you go to the PvP server? People PK each other all day long and all their drama is historically recorded on the official forums. There is no "asking" on that server, they PK each other all day long, everyday. There is a "Return" to town skill so you don't have to actually run back everytime. Again, you provided info that was incorrect rather then long term actual gameplay facts. I was merely correcting your mistakes.

Thinking of playing this game again. Overall, I like the game except for a few things.

Cons:

1. Character/costume design sucks IMO. If you're expecting your character to look "cool" after earning 50 levels, this game will let you down. Sure there are avatars for sale and you get to wear other armors but based on what I've seen, I would hardly call it an improvement.

2. Maybe it's just me (and a bunch of others), but for a game with 1999-ish 3D graphics, it gets pretty fucking laggy especially when you're doing dungeons. I mean, the water detail looks straight out a PS1 game FFS. I know my computer can handle SRO and Cabal on optimum graphics so I don't know why I lag on Requiem.

3. If you're used to fast-action MMOs like Cabal or Gunz, the entire game will make you feel like the world is on slow-motion. I don't mind the time-consuming travels (even with wingriders/mounts) but the action itself is too repetitive, plain, and slow.

4. Skills look repetitive. Nothing much to say - sure they may have different smoke colors or they may differ slightly in hand movement but if you're looking for flashy skills, you won't find any.

Other than that, it's a pretty decent game. The majority of the community are made up of friendly people and the maps are pretty huge. Quests can get repetitive sometimes but there's really not a lot to compare that one to in the world of mmorpgs. All in all, it's worth trying.

It's a matter of opinion I guess. I'm hoping they could add some new avatars which wouldn't show my Rogue's 8-pack necrotic abdomen - something that wouldn't make my character look like an exhumed male stripper. Otherwise, it's gonna' be SRO all over again - either you end up looking like everyone or you're stuck with some shitty rented avatar (I wore a Pirate costume - bleh).

That's the only armor that looks good. My game is not fulfilled without good armors.
As for the cities, they get filled up more as you go through the game. For example, you can finally find some people in Nova Lux.
