One thing about this game is that it's hard to learn but when you win you really feel like you achieved something...

I started with Protoss/Terran back when I got the game then I took a break and now I'm trying to get into Zerg and I just go my first victory after three or four lost games, damn it felt good. 8)

lol I just failed my last two games. My econ was doing so good any my zerglings + mutas were controlling the whole map. Then, a giant army of marines stormed through my forces lol
I was building hydras to counter, but there weren't enough to hold them off >.<

Edit: Been playing 2v2 with my friend. So far, my speedling + muta and my friend's stalker + void ray combo has steamrolled through a ton of opponents (mostly double terran teams, but it's worked against all people). Just wondering, what can counter this?

Edit 2:
http://www.gamereplays.org/starcraft2/r ... &id=163048
Example of one of our games. This team was pretty easy to kill though.

1 Hour and 20 minutes game, yes I did it :sohappy: Guess the other player intended too, was so fun. I was at 7 Expos, had 6 Startports mass producing Battlecruisers (YAMATO CANNONN PEW PEW ). Sent all my whole army which destroyed 3/4 of his base, but then the BGs eventually got destroyed by his mass turrets. So I mass Vikings (think 65 of them) and finaly finish the game :D

I had some but he got vikings when he saw my mutas. and then they kept them in base so I couldn't bring hydras to kill them or the tanks would rape them <-<

You do know generally mutas beat vikings if you have enough of them right? I destroy vikings with my mutas all the time.

Down goes Idra.

And that's one of the reasons why I hate Starcraft. Because of "cheese."

It's hard to take the game seriously when you can lose because some guy built a barracks in your base, cannon rush, bunkers outside your ramp, or any dumb shit like that. :palm:

All cheese is countered by good scouting, or another type of cheese.

Hay all, I am still a newb in bronze, and playing protoss a lot. I want to try out the other 2, anyone have any good standard build orders for terran/zerg I could use? I have been using 3gate robo a lot which was fun but terrans and zergs seem SO cool.

They should remove Cannons. I don't care if I can turn them off by getting the Pylon, my army will get raped before it can. Even if I'd scout, they can be built so fast :x (Forge only + they don't need a worker)

As for my new league, it's decent I guess. I've been using a 1.1.1 Terran build lately. I like it because I can easly transition from Marines/Marauders + Medivacs to Vikings.

isn't it 2gate robo

for zerg i do 14 extractor, 14 pool, speed lings then whatever
or a 14 hatch if I scout and see that I can.
for terran i do either

http://wiki.teamliquid.net/starcraft2/3 ... _(vs._Zerg)
or a general 1:1:1 transitioned to marine marauder medivac, sometimes with seige tanks (against zerg) or vikings/ghosts against toss.

I guess I didn't explain myself clearly. My problem isn't if it's counterable or not, my problem is that it shouldn't be a feasible strategy at all.

It's suppose to be an epic battle between 3 super power races and it's possible that you can lose because a guy built a cannon in your base? :palm: That's just stupid IMO.

Only the pros take the game in srs bisnes mode. You aren't a pro soooo just chill if u just cant stand the cheese for some reason, stop playing the game :|. [If you cant get around cheese, this game isnt for u]

This

As toss beating off a cannon rush is very simple. I just quickly create a zealot and pull off all my workers to destroy the canon that is being warped. If you get the probe, its GG easily from there.
While they have 0 gate ways, they'll only have probably 2-3 canons top back home.

If someone some how manages to sneak a tank into your base in RL, it may be do some damage, but it's not going to take out the whole base. And how could you miss a tank coming into your base... That's not a good comparison.

Again, I never said I couldn't get around it. It's hard(for me anyway) to introduce the game to someone and for them to take it seriously when they see a guy lose to "cheese."

Also, if it's so easy to stop, why is it a feasible strategy? Why are the so called "pros" getting eliminated by it in MLG if it's so easy to stop? You got pros scouting cheese and still being unable to stop it. I'm not saying its unstoppable but don't act like it only works on bad players. Much of the cheese are good legitimate strategies depending on the map you're on and situation.

2 and 3 gate work in bronze :P
Mind expanding on the zerg build?
The link doesn't work?
Mind expanding on 1:1:1. I am really new, like 25-25 in bronze ugh.
