Hay all, I am still a newb in bronze, and playing protoss a lot. I want to try out the other 2, anyone have any good standard build orders for terran/zerg I could use? I have been using 3gate robo a lot which was fun but terrans and zergs seem SO cool.
isn't it 2gate robo
for zerg i do 14 extractor, 14 pool, speed lings then whatever or a 14 hatch if I scout and see that I can. for terran i do either
2 and 3 gate work in bronze Mind expanding on the zerg build? The link doesn't work? Mind expanding on 1:1:1. I am really new, like 25-25 in bronze ugh.
link works, you have to copy it as the hotlink doesn't include the end bracket.
zerg: 14 miners -> make extractor build +1 miner -> spawning pool ->get speed upgrade asap then make zerglings and constantly abuse your opponent and eventually get roaches or mutas.
or
14 miners -> hatchery -> spawning pool -> extractor -> etc if you scout and see that your opponent isn't going something like 2 gate or triple barracks..or 10 pool, whatever.
terran build 1 rax 1 factory 1 starport, then i transition into 2 more barracks and get marines and marauders and medivacs and use my factory for nothing. Or instead of 2 more barracks i get 1 more barracks and 1 more factory and get thors/tanks/marauders but that's a much different build and much harder to pull off imo.
and the other terran build is explained pretty well in the link

Also, if it's so easy to stop, why is it a feasible strategy? Why are the so called "pros" getting eliminated by it in MLG if it's so easy to stop? You got pros scouting cheese and still being unable to stop it. I'm not saying its unstoppable but don't act like it only works on bad players. Much of the cheese are good legitimate strategies depending on the map you're on and situation. [/color]
Why r u b itching about it then lol
Maybe try reading?
My problem isn't if it's counterable or not, my problem is that it shouldn't be a feasible strategy at all.
I simply stated that I don't like it. You're the one going, O if you don't like it then game isn't for you, it's easy to stop, etc. You're hung up on the idea that I don't like it because I can't stop it which I stated multiple times isn't my issue.
Honestly, the only thing I really have trouble with is early rushes and my macro is bad which is why I'm still in bronze. I'm also trying to practice certain build orders and get better with timing attacks.
You don't have to enjoy every aspect of a game to continue playing it. Idra absolutely hates cheese and he's probably one of the top 10 players in the world.
Anyway, I'm done. Never expected this to be so drawn out.

MLG Dallas was very entertaining to watch. some really good games, sadly i missed a lot of it because my monitor decided to die
@the idra game - he chose to expand very early with no units to counter the scv's building bunkers.. what was select supposed to do? not try to win the game? you play to win.

Because there aren't other ways to counter a zerg who is fast expanding on Delta Quadrant?
Regardless...
Looking back at the game, Idra didn't have to counter it. He took a huge gamble by choosing to fast expand on Delta Quadrant, a bad map that shouldn't have even been used in MLG. Idra lost because he panicked. He sent some drones and the the few zerglings that he had to their death. He also sent his queen to die as well. All he had to do was sit tight, cancel the hatch, and crisis adverted. He would have been at a disadvantage for the rest of the game but it still would have been possible for him to make a comeback.

imo Idra is bad at adapting. From the games I've seen he does the exact same strat every single time. I've noticed he does use roaches more often now because of the 4 range, but I still see very little adaption from him. That's why people cheese him so often, well that and the rage.

Yea, he seems to be pretty bad at adapting. I guess he's so use to being the one that dictates how the match will go.
Always fun watching him rage.

Ugh! I'm playing horribly. I'm gonna post a replay, I usually play Protoss, but Terran is so much more fun for me, yet I keep getting wrecked. I know I am HORRIBLE, but anyone with some tips would really be appreciated!

-Keep producing SCV's, don't stop until you fully saturate atleast 1 expo -make more marines, you were lucky he didn't rush you -scout -need to stay on top of your build order i saw you sitting on 400 minerals at some points

I don't like it much when people stay in their base in 1v1, but it is pretty funny when I get expansions at all of the free ones and when they run out of minerals they just quit cuz I kill anything they send out of their base.
