Hey guys,

Currently the only thing holding me back from entering the battlefield is my gfx card. At the moment I´ve got a ATI Radeon HD4670, and I'm either thinking about doing a HD4670 crossfire, or getting a Sapphire HD6670. Which choice would be better?

Some advice would be nice.

I accepted all requests, it was big in beta but no one really applied passed release.

When we were playing, there was a guy who shot me from behind (about 15 feet). I pulled a 180 and shot him in the face. When I ran by his body I noticed you were there. I said to myself "I hope he Farking saw that" and grinned.

While everyone is showing their BF triple battlestations, here's mine. I just bought the keyboard today, they were out of mice. I'm going to order the BF3 mouse online.

I just bought the headset (razer something?) and controller (razer dragon age 2) before razer announced their BF3 stuff. If I knew I would have waited :(

For anyone wondering, I use the controller for flying planes. And the reason I have 2 mice is for different kinds of games (razer naga molten edition for MMO, intellimouse 2.0 for FPS).

Hahaha, i did see that. On Kharg island, it was a just outside a building near B. I indeed was impressed.

Btw, im just using a normal Microsoft Mouse, do you guys actually feel a difference when using a Razer/Steelseries mouse. One designed for gaming?

Yes a great deal, and if your planning on getting one, a little investment wouldn't hurt:

It depends on the person. The biggest difference is between the types of mice (palm or claw grip) and infared vs laser.

I have never been able to use a laser mouse. When I started in FPS, the way to play was 1 inch of mouse movement = 1 inch of crosshair movement. Right now I use a 27 inch monitor and that ratio is still true. I end up picking up my mouse and moving it because I don't have 27 inches of desk space. Doing that with a laser mouse is certain death; you have to lift it reasonably high for it to stop tracking. Also, when laser gaming mice first started coming out, they couldn't put up with the G forces exerted by low sensitivity players: it makes the tracking stutter. That's why I have an intellimouse 2.0 (IR). When I bought it they were discontinued, I had to special order it and it cost more than a high-end gaming mouse. From what I understand, they started producing them again.

With the newer gaming mice (read past couple years) it hasn't been that bad but it's still been noticeable for me. I'm willing to gamble on the imperator because it has both laser and IR sensors, allowing you to have laser accuracy but still pick up your mouse.

The best analogy for gaming mice would be with console controllers. Having a real gaming mouse, for most, is like comparing a mad catz xbox controller and a microsoft controller. The build quality and feel is a lot different but some don't care.

@Maitre des poupees: I listen to radio-talbot and Denis just bought a RAT 7. He has only good things to say about that series.

My friend has the RAT, looks cool.

As for if there's an actual difference. Well if you want to take it from me, it's all about ergonomic (comfort). Bought my first "gaming" mouse this summer (just a Razer Abyssus) and while I don't see a real difference as for "precise" movement and such, the grip and comfort is unquestionable.

Plus, they are relatively cheap. You can have a decent selection with just 50$.

My best round ever: 5 dogtags unlocked, 30 ribbons, 4 medals in one round - not bad. I'm glad I got to share it with an SRFer although I am not sure who it was.

@ Glenn you need to go for the latter my friend.

DX11 is more than enough of a reason to get the 6xxx series card.

No doubt about it, get it ;)

Alright thanks, Twysta. Getting the Sapphire HD 6670 1GB GDDR5. So I think I should be okay. Hoping to run it on high settings, I've got an i7 920. So I think I might be able to pull it off.

I think you should be ok to run at High Settings. But yeah, the 6X is definitely the better way to go in this case :)

Tried some Co-Op missions with a friend, had fun :). Still so many things to unlock, and jebus i saw that you get MP weps for Co-Op points...

It's never ending!

How the hell does everyone get 1 shot kills with the SV98 every single time? I've NEVER been 2 shot with it, always 1 shot. Yet, I can NEVER get a 1 shot kill with it. I get 1 shot while sprinting around a corner.. no suppression before it, 1st shot hits and kills every time.

Btw, anyone run into anymore hackers? I did once last week, invincible to bullet damage. Someone knifed him though. He was running around the middle of my teammates with like 8 people shooting him point blank in a circle around him. He was trying to knife everyone.

Headshot, 82.15% of the time.

That's just you though. There's no way every single person that picks it up gets head shots most of the time. I run by a single window, head shot.. Run around a corner, instant head shot. It's just fucking frustrating and is the only thing that honestly makes me want to shelf this for now. I had no problem getting headshots the first week, but now I can't get them at all with any sniper.
