Snipe damage 45 -> 25 WHTF IS THIS BS !?? How am I supposed to fight off banelings busts without snipe shots. Hell you can't even shoot a marine anymore. Just make it do halved damage vs Massive units and let it be. We wouldn't be using snipe to begin with if we had any better options...

>.> I get into diamond, and all of a sudden I start seeing mass dt warp ins with proxy pylon or warp prism. Distract me with your army, I crush it, go back to find lair killed with like 8 dts in your main and you have only 1 overseer and 2 hatcheries. I mean they're legitimate I guess, but why now all of sudden...

It happened to me twice and cost me both games. I'm fine with fighting dts, but instead of seeing two or three spread out across my bases, I see like 5+ of them all in my base at once. I am normally prepared for a couple dts, but all of a sudden I'm now seeing a full warp-in of dts, which is rather annoying to fight when I'm distracted by their main army.

People appear to be finally starting to call ling/muta op, took a while. They should probably deal with that by nerfing mutas, they are very decent units themselves except that they have insane mobility, those 2 shouldn't go together.

I had a lot of trouble with the baneling sniping =__=". In the end I did manage though. Fcking hate that you can't snipe banes anymore Q_Q.
On a more positive note. the next patch will seem to hold a lot of cool new features . better custom games menu stuff, improved interface and most importantly anti-alias. I hate playing games without anti-alias T__T. http://eu.battle.net/sc2/en/blog/384668 ... _2012#blog
oh yeah and map pool increasing to 10 up from 8. We'll be getting Metropolis, Daybreak and Ohana. And it seems like Shattered is going right out. too bad, I liked shattered :/. I wanna see antiga die though -.-". That map is just stupid and boring to play on.

I replayed it partially while watching a friend, the ghost one wasn't that bad out of the last 10 as long as you pull all your units back at the beginning so you have more time to snipe. You can also move 2 marines up a bit to get more vision/bait baneling hit if you **** up.
he makes like 30 mutas. runs me around. then sends the zerglings on the tanks and the banes on the rines, while my thors are out hunting muta (cus there's too many too handle with just marine. it would leave my army too vulnerable). repeat zerg manages to get a gajillion bases up while terran can't defend his 4th due to retarded zerg mobility.
Last game I motherfucking fried 128 drones with my hellions. I was constantly 20000 resources less on the units lost tab. He just shrugs it off like nothing happens. wtf is this shit come on. Can't wait for a thor speedbuff.
... I want free time for hardcore practice Q_Q. I know I should ultimately just rageplay my way through, but it's fuckin' retarded . I hope HotS fixes the skill ceiling issues, so you don't need to outskill your opponent 2.5x to win a Farking TvZ

What league are you in? In my experience, most Terran players don't have the macro ability to simultaneously zone the mutas out of your base and macro a large enough army until Diamond league.
Players who are extremely good at macro destroy me as then there are endless marines barreling down at my door, and with marine micro + some tanks, I am overwhelmed and then I lose. Drops + harass while attacking or poking at the front really sets me off a bit. If the zerg engages your drop with a sizable force, move your army up and set up another position even closer (which in some cases can be in range of their base).
In your case... if you were consistently ahead by 20000 resources in units lost, you let him macro way too much. I've been in situations like that (myself being the zerg though), and let me tell you all I have to do is just choke the terran to death by throwing units at him that I can afford to lose. If you can't stop zergs from macroing you are dead.

Last I played I was in masters, been busy with school + dota 2 but I still play sc2 with my buddies who are mostly masters and a couple diamonds/below. I still beat all of them more than they beat me so I should still be in master's if I started laddering again.
Anyone below mid-masters is terrible at multitasking. Just have a dropship with 4 helions parked somewhere in the map and as soon as there's a big battle drop it in his expansion's mineral lines, free drones. Do stuff that's easy for you to do but requires a lot of multitasking for your opponent (hellions, zealots, and ling/bling counters) and your opponent more likely than not will fall apart. Ofc you should have a solid game underneath these tactics since you don't want to rely on them to win, just get you an advantage and halt their macro.
Silver EU. (afaik that's about plat NA ) I do get matched vs gold players a lot.
I would say my production was pretty consistent in this game (for my doing anyway). Better than in many other games I've played. I occasionally practice with the Macro or Die maps. I reviewed the game after the ragecomment and saw my one greatest mistake. The bastard zerg took the Rock expansion on entombed valley instead of the normal third. Didn't really expect that so I didn't bother scouting it at all. instead I went ahead and tried frying his 4th and 5th. by the end of the game my last mining base was in his normal 3rd xD. But yeah, if I could've gotten that 3rd of his it would've turned out very different I think :[.
Zergs are my weak spot right now. Can't remember the last time I won D:. TvP ez, TvT pretty ez, TvZ impossibrruuuu.
I'll have to re-evaluate my mech strat :/

Aight. Just defeated one pretty convincingly. I've found a couple of pretty reasonable improvements to my build. - quick expo - 15-ish no-stim/no-shield marines suicide into zerg third for hatch-kill. - after that get 3rd and make sure to be at around 3rax 4fac 2star - after that 4th and 5th. lotsa hellions and drops. get 8-10 tanks and 6-8 Thors and 20-ish vikings. The rest is Marine&Medivac inc. - expand like a zerg - mule up and suicide scv's.
Well I guess I can't really judge the results off of 1 game, but it felt better than usual. I had good control over my opponent. I caught his bases when they were being built, forced roaches out of him. and I had Thors and HSM to demotivate him from making too many muta's. He did use Nydus though, which was a bit annoying, but cleaned it with vikings. Keeping 5-6 hellions at the ramp of shakuras (4th + 5th expansion) works great against zergling harass.
Me happy Now learn for chemistry test
random lulz

3rd base usually isn't connected with creep yet. I had the watch towers and this was about 6-7 minutes in (probably). If the zerg doesn't expect it he won't have much of a counter for it. I lost all the marines right after the hatch kill, since 10 or so roaches came. I had taken away the map awareness of my opponent, which let do a successful surprise attack.

It shouldn't work ever because he should always expect it with active ling control. There's no way to sneak unstim unshielded marines past active lings without serious mind gaming or terrible zergs.

Do what works, but it shouldn't work. Though it works at your level, never play saying, "But that's only what people in this league can do." I screwed myself over in zvz doing that. My build relied entirely on having better micro. When I got into diamond where their micro was decent enough to hold off my all in, I died every game. Play to the next level above you because then when you reach the next level, you can play them without getting destroyed.

If you're anything under say..diamond you should only be worrying about mechanics. Destiny did a pretty good demonstration and provided a lot of reasoning as to why today (the 29th). You could check his VOD's if you were really interested.
Honestly talking about strategy under that level is pretty much useless. Spending your money and being efficient is far more important than strategy.

I don't really have the time to sift through his VODs to find out when he did it, but if you think of it logically you can see how sound the reasoning is. Talking strategy is near irrelevant when the timings and applications of said strategy cannot be output because of lacking mechanics. Timings are always off, control is always sub-par and the scout-react nature of the game is thrown off horribly because of the above. That alone makes strategy irrelevant.
Here is a much older video of Destiny doing mass queens. Although he does lose a game to a silver player or something along those lines (which is somewhat funny), he was a far worse player back then than he is now. It's a rough example, but a good one nonetheless.
Spoiler!
My advice is more or less the same as his. Pick a build and master it. That means, no missing chronos at 28 energy, no missing a mule at 53 energy, no missing an inject at 28 energy. Winning or losing is irrelevant in starcraft 2. The point is to get better, which can't be measured through win/loss especially considering the lengths Blizzard goes to to match you against someone of similar skill level. As your mechanics improve, so will your understanding of the game..and so on.

Stephano is really good, terrible attitude, really Farking good at starcraft. It's too bad there are so few top foreigners like him that can take on Koreans.
