Skyve wrote: Picking it Tuesday What other concepts they have aside from summons and nukes? (Witch Doctors) You'll see. Right now I'm throwing voodoo firebombs, locust swarms that spread to multiple enemies, a dot that heals me and goes to another enemy when the one it's haunting dies, a rain of acid that falls from the sky and poisons a bunch of enemies, running with a big ass zombie that cleaves by my side, and then a panic button which I switch between entering the spirit plane for 5 seconds or fearing all the enemis around me. Seriously, Witch Doctor is awesome. Also, I remember people were hating on the skill system before the game came out, but I honestly think it's great. It opens up a lot of space for builds and synergy and you don't need to level all over again to change it.

I think you know that but you keep saying you're doing everything solo when it's really not that big of a deal. More people = Harder Monsters.
Also, Skyve, you really need to see some 22+ Witch Doctor Gameplay. It's freaking awesome, I just hit level 22 and my build is really strong and badass. Monsters multiply by however many people are in the party, yes. Still is the same as solo, I just keep hearing people talking about taking this stuff down in a group so doing it solo feels awesome. Also Barbarian puts any other class to shame. As per the Inferno AMAs on reddit, barbs in inferno don't do anything except soak up damage. Also, because they absorb and don't mitigate, they need to take a lot of life sustaining skills. Monk can do everything a barb can but with higher utility and DPS. Playing in a group doesn't make more monsters appear, it makes them stronger (hit harder, more armor, more health, etc). Just because there's 4 of you doesn't means it's easy either. When you consider how much harder they hit it can get you in a lot of trouble. The bosses are also more difficult - some can get a ton of HP. I soloed higher content than when I was grouped and I found it A LOT easier. I think you're correct that more players adds to HP, but it doesn't boost damage or anything else. From the diablo3wiki: Quote: Monster hit points adjust automatically when additional players join or leave the game. As of the beta test, each additional player in the game increases monster hit points by 75%. Thus: 1 player = 100% monster hit points 2 players = 175% monster hit points 3 players = 250% monster hit points 4 players = 325% monster hit points This is similar to the gain in hit points that additional players generated in Diablo II, but there is no corresponding gain in experience in Diablo III, nor are there more total monsters, more bosses, or more items or gold dropped by the monsters or chests. (All of which happened in Diablo 2.) The benefit to more players in a game in Diablo 3 is that the group killing speed should increase, theoretically by about 100% per additional character. Survivability should be enhanced as well, with players able to take turns tanking up front, as well as supporting each other with some shared skills and improved tactics. Players will need to do so, to offset the increased monster hit points, and the developers have often said that the Inferno difficulty level will be balanced to basically require player cooperation in order to survive.

What? I've been playing with no problems.
Level 35 Witch Doctor at the moment. Nightmare is pretty easy since I'm well geared.
All I hear is complaints about the Auction House but personally I love it.

15.1 GB #FML #YesImUsingTwitterTagsOnAForum #Problem?
Edit: Download client shows only 8gb. Did the math, with constant max download speed (which I'm getting for the most part) it should be done in about an hour and a half. Yay.

You're able to start playing at about 4 gb anyways. So I was playing sooner than I thought... Thanks dom, now I can blame you for me having a reason to play a pc game again.

TheKnight wrote: ^This is why I bought the CD I've been recycling the same optical drive since like 2003. It's actually quicker for me to just download the game than install from CD Edit: Started using a lot of blues and I thought I would share. For weapon I still use a yellow because it can get the bonus damage + strenght/vit in addition to a slot. But for most of the other pieces, i'm doing a lot better getting blue gear because all of the stats are focused into what I really want and not things I don't need: gold pick up range, life regen, int, dex, thorns, etc.

Question. how are the servers now? I've reading really bad reviews and scored for D3 because of the server issues, mainly. Is there a level cap? Updated constantly? This game looks great and everything, but I been reading it just like Diablo 2 with much better enhanced graphics and a linear character creation based solely in your gear (Ability points are automatically spend). And as for the auction thingy: morelikely you'll only see high end items (like wearable at highest level) cause no point buying something that will be useless after a couple of days. So, whats up? lol
-Also, Thanks Dom for the code.

60 cap As for server issues: I played yesterday for 3 hour stretches, 2 different times. Had no issues at all.
As for the rest, no idea.
