I played perfect world just for about 10 minutes, but every game has it owns pros and cons. If Silkroad doesn't have bots, not so much annoying turks which don't know a world of english and just keep scamming normal players I think it would be better. But this is immposible.

Yea...for the most part its true, monsters from lvl 1 - lvl 40 are the same. But then you get some truly unique looking monsters. Someone of them are just strange.

Silkroad is for the person who is willing to waste his or her time in front of a computer repeating a task over and over, with no benefit in the end. If that wasn't enough, the game is corrupted to the point that the only way to achieve fun - and by fun I mean waste your time in a fashion in which you feel you are being somewhat productive - is to pour money into items that not only make it unfair for other players without these items, but make you pay by the month to gain superiority.
As for Perfect World, I wouldn't know. I abandoned all mmorpgs after silkroad. They all feel like a time filler more than anything. Prove me wrong, but this is my OPINION.
Something I really hate about PW is grinding, it sucks hard, takes like 5 skills to kill a mob under your lvl, and the exp gained from grinding isn't good either.

<~ Completely unbiased poster that dislikes both games: Graphics: SRO has shiny skills/nice armor & that's where it stops, PW has stunning visuals & environments. 1 point for PW, where SRO has a random tree in the middle of nowhere PW has a lush & green forest. Community: The community on SRO is full of scammers, botters, gold buyers, hackers, et al. 1 Point for PW Quest: SRO has no idea what a quest is. 1 point for PW Grinding: You don't level by grinding in PW. 1 point for PW Character Customization: PW, hands down. 1 point for PW Movement: Flying, swimming, jumping. 1 Point for PW PvP: To simple in SRO, it's like a flashy runescape. 1 point for PW. Overall Gameplay, well look at the points: SRO 0, PW 7.
I'm still trying to figure out how Unbeatable got "overall gameplay SRO = PW." When SRO, according to him, is greater than PW in only two aspects out of 7. Last I checked 2 != 5. Just saying.

Somehow that seems quite a lot more biased than Unbeatable's post.
Grinding, movement and graphics in PW was horrible. Dont care what anyone says.

My criteria for good movement & grinding is different from his obviously, the game that lets me strafe, jump, and kite while PvP/Eing is the game that gets the point in movement; the game that has less grinding up to the cap gets the point for grinding. His "mechanism" = my movement, I just chose an appropriate word for his examples.

I got really bored of Perfect World, the only thing that kept me playing was trying to reach level 30 and fly on my sword lol. If I had to choose between the both, I would go with Silkroad. Hands down.

We all obviously know that SRO is a bunch of shiny characters in the middle of the desert, while PW has more and nicer environment.
The most important thing is that SRO has bots and PW none. Even if they came they get banned before they reach 20 and if you are stupid enough to bot on a PvP server after 30 you will be raped by PK guilds all the time.
Grinding is far worse in SRO, yes there is grind in PW but until 40 you don't have to grind at all, 40-50 is 60% quest and rest grind and after 60 it starts to pickup. But its far more interesting to grind in PW, with an awesome guild and all the drama you forget that you are grinding. Man i loved killing wannabe pkers with my wasp ... good old times

Yea guilds were/are much better in PW.
I mean after lvl60 you get Holy Halls and CV and frost walk, all brilliant when you can go with your guild mates as they are party areas.
but for me it has to be the whole dungeon/FB areas in PW that make the game. All SRO has is its few caves and reaching the end of those you dont really achieve anything. Where as in PW you get to kill a tough ass boss or complete a long quest.
Also as for graphics, (yes i know mine suck ). I think a top of the line PC running both PW and SRO. PW looks a much better game with its varied and lush environments. Where as SRO has a more realistic feel to it (compared to PW slightly more cartoon style).
good stuff about sro: - good graphics, better use of bloom than pw - fighting is more fun - grinding is very fun in parties. you just can never find them. - very realistic and fluent movements - skills are nice
good stuff about pw: - nicer graphics overall - jumping + fly + swim - lots of weapons - good quests - huge cities and lots of villages - better environment - incredible character edit
bad stuff about SRO: - bots - server traffic - lots of grinding - boring quests - unbalanced (not builds, the game overall: jobs and other stuff)
bad PW: robotic movements very boring skills most recolours you'll ever see in a game grinding is very boring and slow
sro has less good stuff and more bads, but I think pw's count a little heavier, since those are more directly connected to gameplay.

If by robot you mean double jumping in air and instantly switch directions, thats more useful than a bad thing. True about recolors, but there is always a new mob in each lv set so its not that bad. Skills are not boring, but i.e archers don't shoot giant flashes or stuff like that.
i meant that the moves felt motionless, as though the weapons have no weight at all. makes them very boring to look at. also most skills are often the same move with a new effect... but w/e this whole thread is one big dogma. /thread
