Didn't find a thread with a quick search. Anyways this game is giving me wet dreams already Release date: March 22/25 2011
Spoiler!
Players will play as "Alcatraz", a Green Beret, the new successor of "Nomad", from the first game, although there has been speculation that "Alcatraz" may just be Nomad's new codename to stay anonymous to Crynet. The protagonist gains ownership of the Nanosuit 2, but in doing so angers the manufacturers - Crynet Systems. As a consequence, Crynet Systems starts a manhunt for the player. The Nanosuit 2 gives players more freedom in their options of how to tackle situations on the battlefield. The aliens - which may be completely unrelated to the original game's aliens - have undergone a major redesigning, transforming the ancient, hovering, blue-glowing, techno-organic warriors from the first game into high-tech armored cyborg war machines that stalk the ravaged New York. Crytek has stated their intention to surpass the original game graphically and gameplay-wise, and have noted that combat in the game will be "catastrophically beautiful". Crytek has also claimed that Crysis 2 will have lower system requirements than the original game, but will still exceed the original graphically and will also support true stereoscopic 3D.
Crytek has teased the redesigned Nanosuit, called the "Nanosuit 2" in an advertising brochure, created by the fictional Crynet Systems company, the creators of the first Nanosuit. The new Nanosuit supports new and upgraded features. However, suit functionality has been streamlined; there will be a brief period of time where players are able to use two modes simultaneously before the suit fully locks the mode. This is longer than in the first game, in which two modes can only be used simultaneously for a split second. The first suit's Strength and Speed modes have been combined into one Power mode, the suit binoculars function has been replaced with an advanced Tactical mode, Cloak mode has been modified to allow increased sensory input and silent melee stealth kills and has been renamed to Infiltration mode, while the Armor mode has been left more or less as is. There are two trailers, with one trailer showing the suit in a wire-frame state, the other showing the suit in a complete state. The suit is to feature many improvements over its predecessor, giving players freedom to upgrade their suits based on their own style of combat.
TL:DR- It will have lower system requirements, than the original game, but will still exceed the original graphically and will also support true stereoscopic 3D AND it will rock your socks off.

I played the MP on xbox, the looks sexy but they totally ripped everything from cod lol...Also I didn't really like the controls, they felt sloppy, melee is too powerful and stealth is too annoying for MP IMO.

Crysis always felt more like a playable tech demonstration.
Saw some MP footage of it and it looked to COD like for my taste.
So, i'm not quite sure if i'll get it or not.
You got no idea mate, 3/5/7 killstreaks, killcams, round winning killcams. Only difference there is, is that you have to collect dog tags for the killstreaks (a.k.a. gotta run over the body of the guy you killed to get their tag so you build up your streak). It's a good change but yeah, mostly cod stuff.

According to the dev. team from Crysis this game is going to look epic on PS3, looks like crap on 360 [or so I thought from the demo] and if you have a PC that can run it, get it on PC. I'll be waiting on reviews before I buy this, if the MP isn't good I'll just torrent SP.

Do you play on an old tv or something? It looked fine on the xbox lol o.O But yeah, the MP was crap in the demo... Atleast some things were, if they could tweak/counter those it could actually be pretty fun.

I played it on a friend's 46" 1080P LED 3D TV. The models, guns, and shadowing looked great but the environment and actual textures weren't all that great and the game ran choppy. [the opposite of what I had expected] I'll have to wait for the demo/game to come to PC to do a real comparison though, so far Crysis 1 /Warhead looks better than Crysis 2 does on console. My opinion is usually going to be a little harsh since I'm used to everything running maxed out in 1080P with DX 10/11. As far as I'm aware the devs. said the PS3 version will be taking advantage of the better hardware and will have better graphics over the 360.
I'm anxious to see how the MP is mostly though, the MP demo seemed a little iffy, not sure if I really liked it. I know SP will be good though.
