It also said it has failed to initialize eauditore.ddna; so it certainly wont be about him again (right?). They said that for every new game (Assassins Creed 'X') they will make it a completely new setting with a new (memory)story and a main character There was also a post explaining the .dat.ark files, ill dig it up.

11 January, 1165 - Altair was born in 1165, so this is possibly his full DOB 24 June, 1459 - Ezio’s date of birth 6 November, 1494 - Two months after Girolamo Savonarola takes power in Florence 10 September, 1509 - Two years after Ezio kills Cesare - Istanbul earthquake destroys 109 mosques and kills an estimated 10,000 people 15 June, 1511 26 May, 1512 - Beyazid II, Ottoman Sultan dies Years link to the wikipedia entries.
In other words, the date could possibly be set in 1511
So far all the three videos Ubisoft made to troll us.
As far as I see, the text still says Altaïr Ibn-La'Ahad. The blurry thing on the background looks like a map of Europe to me, but it's blurry and keeps distorting, so I can't be 100% sure.
This one is a lot clearer. At the beginning you clearly see the fortress of Masyaf, and an (Altaïr probably?) arm with the hidden blade, both visible on the left side. The right still seems to have that blurry map thing. Arabic text still seems to be saying Altaïr Ibn-La'Ahad.
Now, after 5 seconds, you see a circle shaped tablet. This is the Disc of Phaestos, which was found in 1908 on the Minoan site of Phaistos, on the Greek island Crete. It's dated between 1700 ~ 1600 BC, but no one knows where it's originally from. Some guess it might be from Anatolia, but it might be from Greece itself.
So far, no one has been able to figure out the cipher. Because there are 45 symbols in such a small text (approximately 241 or 242 characters), each symbol might be a syllable, but the text is so short that one can't test their own solution to be correct, and with this being the only artefact with this inscription, it seems impossible to decipher it as of now.
That enigma aside, I think chances are that, after hanging out with Ezio for a while, Altaïr will be back.
Yes please, glad we are starting to see release hints already.

Blah, just because they succesfully did Ezio in two games, altair wont advanced the story line its not like he was born after ezio.
But Altair may have been into some important stuff after killing Al Mualim and "they" haven't looked into that yet. But we don't even know who "they" are yet after seeing the ending of ACB. Altair may just be useful in order to find these temples.
The text at the start mentions "eauditore", referring to Ezio Auditore, yet the Arabic text writes Altaïr Ibn-La'Ahad. الطائر ابن لا أحد
Super curious.
The bird son of noone?
That's what Altaïr Ibn-La'Ahad means.
Afaik, this is the latest teaser.
At the start of the video, you see the Aya Sophia, which was built in Constantinople, and served as a cathedral 360 until 1453 (except between 1204 and 1261, when it was converted to a Roman Catholic cathedral). After the Fall of Constantinople, the Turks renamed the city to Istanbul, and in that same year (1453) until 1931, it became a mosque. In 1903, it became a museum.
The numbers that briefly flash are 24061459, which might be a date. June 24th, 1459. I tried to find anything interesting about that specific date, but the only thing I found was that it's the birth day of Ezio Auditore.
The symbol that is briefly visible is a Tughra, a rather artistic calligraphy signature. Unlike many other empires that used portraits, in Islamic empires this was not customary, and instead, the Tughra was used.
This particular one is the Tughra of Kanuni Sultan Süleyman I, also known as (November 6, 1494 – September 6, 1566). He was the 10th Sultan of the Ottoman Empire.
With so little information left, I didn't bother to dig up more info. Altaïr's been mentioned in previous teasers, as did Ezio. In 1459, Ezio was just born, and Altaïr wouldn't be alive anymore. I don't see how Constantinople/Istanbul, Suleiman the Magnificent and 1459 link with the Disc of Phaestos in the previous video, or with the other videos for that matter.
I wish Ubi would stop trolling, or gave us just enough information so we know what direction to look.
at the end of ACB i got the idea that its a case of you being alread inside of an Animus, replaying the memories of Desmond.
Also, what became of this?
Edit: Seems plausable.

Assassin’s Creed: Revelations predictions. SPOILERS. Ubisoft most likely plans to end the franchise (or just Desmond’s story) in 2012, which would bring the game into current day settings, making it so that you play the game AS IT’S HAPPENING. In 2007, the game was taking place during September, 2012, and by the end of Brotherhood, it was the month of October. As revealed at the end of the DaVinci Disappearance, Desmond is now in a coma. This is the reason I think that Desmond will not be the main character of Revelations. Well, if not Desmond, then who? Who could we possibly have as a protagonist who has all the same ancestors as Desmond? Well, that’s simple. Subject 16. He has been developed bit by bit over the course of the last three games. It makes more sense to explore a preexisting character in more depth than it does to create an entirely new entity and expect your audience to empathize with them and become immersed in their life. We are already, in a way immersed in 16’s life in the same way that Desmond is. Subject 16 talked about jumping around lots of times, and being confused as to who and where and when exactly he is. This opens up the opportunity and possibility for multiple timelines being presented in one game. People have specifically been asking for more Altair. Even after he has not been the star of a game in years, he is still an incredibly popular character. Ubisoft notices that. Altair may or may not be the main character of the next game but obviously, someone descended from him will be. One of his sons (or one of theirs), perhaps. As recently teased at, Constantinople, and Masyaf will be featured. These places all existed in Altair’s time period. The type of robes being worn, and timeline of Assassin’s Creed itself points again to the 12th/13th century. These were some ideas that I already had, but the event is just making me even more excited that there is some small chance that I am right about them. I’m at work right now, and I could probably write about this for hours, but I’ll stop here. I have so many predictions and ideas… They’re oozing out my ears.
That image of the Assassin with the piramid in the background was for a carte blanche contest thing - it has nothing to do with the original AC games. Artists were asked to draw an Assassin in any age and/or setting they chose.
In the new teaser, clearly Altaïr, the numbers are a date again, which this time is the birth date of Altaïr. The double headed eagle is associated with the Byzantine Empire and the Holy Roman Empire, but in this case, with the previous teasers kept in mind, it's most likely referring to the Byzantine Empire. The screenshot below shows the silhouette of the Aya Sophia in the background, so it's safe to say the new instalment will be set in Istanbul.
Even so, the whole thing seems to be revealed:
Ezio will be back. He's aged a bit, and the blade has some sort of upgrade, or it's a completely new one; there's a hook attached to it. Because of his respectful age, both Desmond and Altaïr will make a reappearance so poor Ezio doesn't have to be the only one running around killing people, and I hope that especially Altaïr will get a bigger role, considering Ezio has been the star of two games now (not counting the DS/PSP games), and I suspect AC:3 will have Desmond in a major role.
Spoiler!
June's issue of Game Informer will uncover many more details about Assassin's Creed: Revelations, which is set to be released in November 2011.
Interesting, more Ezio. The hook is probably used for climbing and i think he has the blade and the hooked rod in his right hand glove separately, just as the poison needle is.
i don't think Revelations will be the last from AC series. Because the assassins need to find all the temples, we will probably see games that happen in Egypt, Europe, and maybe the Central and Eastern part of Asia. And for some reason, i don't believe the game will end at the Templars' satellite launch in 2012 and there will be new challenges and adventures coming up.
If/when they move the story line ahead a few decades/centuries, or whatever, I'm curious to how the Assassins will be all "bad ass" in the modern era of technology, weapons, etc.

Assassins will have
Cloak, they turn invisible Holograms Blades in their shoes silent pistols Advanced eagle vision llol nah.
but idk im guessing altair, ezio and desmond are gonna be in the third game. some how a link of events will all line up to desmond's final mission to stop templars from launching el sattalite.
