So anyone happen to share my love for sonic games?
A few hours ago they showed the launch trailer and my jaw dropped when I saw "PC DVD".
For a while now they were saying it was only x360 and ps3.
I nearly screamed of joy

Now the only bad part is that I have my test week next week so I can't play it yet D:

I've been looking forward to this ever since I heard about it, but I knew it was on pc well over a month ago.

Your post seems like it should have been posted in the past.

(also getting this game for 15$) :D

I'm always a little afraid to make threads when it comes to sonic games. Too many people consider it kiddy for no valid reason at all. I don't feel like having to deal with the bashing .__.
And it's not like I had a reason to make the thread if I didn't know I could play it. Reading the discussions and knowing what I'm missing out on just makes me RAGE.

really? I thought the last 2 games were some of the best :?
Sonic unleashed was brilliant. the day sections on x360/ps3 were great. I guess it's less good on wii though. But then the wii had great controls for the werehog. :/

I haven't gotten around getting Colours, but I keep hearing everywhere that it's really good...

And now Generations. I'll finally be able to experience the Hedgehog engine first hand... I'm looking forward to it quite a bit. I've seen some vids and the level design looks brilliant. unfortunately the PC release is around the end of November (which works out great for me since I have my tests right now D: ).

I just installed the game : D
It's great, the graphics are beautiful and the game runs smooth. Im getting no framerate lag at all even with vsync on. Sonic's new VA sounds a little weird, but I think Ezio does a pretty good job... I was expected something really bad >.<. Seems tails got a new one as well, that's a damn big improvement.

I've downloaded it for now, but I think I might actually end up buying it sooner or later, if I'm feeling honest enough :P. I do feel a certain obligation to support future PC releases.

The only thing I'm a little pissed about is how badly it's ported :/
The standard keybinds are a damn mess...

I've set mine to:
A boost/spindash (X)
S slide (B)
Q/W quickstep (L/R)
E/X drift (L2/R2) (I believe you only need one)
space Jump/jumpdash (A)

I based the controls more or less off of SADX where spin was A and space was jump. It worked fine back then, and it's really the best I can seem to make it in this one :/. I'd use shift if I could, but the port is so bad that it doesn't recognize Ctrl, Alt, Shift and the likes. I also seem incapable of drifting, though I believe that may be a skill I have to buy :P. but other than that, the game so far has been damn fun. I especially love boosting around in the hub world. Lots of unlockables as well @___@, even music from Sonic CD!
Spoiler!
