could the mods warn people who ress threads? it gets very annoying and confuses others until they read the date of the first post.

lol.

when people make a thread of which there's already a thread at
page 5, everyone starts bitchin about them making a new thread.
when people res a thread from page 5, they call it necro and
want the people warned.

IMO some threads can be ressed (see AC lol.).
depends on the thread, really.

it's still being discussed, but this is how i feel about it.

+1 cin

if there is no similar topic already and the info is not outdated there is nothing wrong with ressing the topic with a valid comment

intentionally ressing 2 y/o topics to piss people off should be (and is, yay) dealt with (ban smartasses)

:D

There are threads more than 2 months old which that are still relevant.

well, i dun really find nething wrong wit ppl rezzing threads. i get annoyed that they don't tell us that they went back and rezzed the thread. in their post, they should say "btw, i was reading this old topic blah blah blah and i've got something compelling to say blah blah blah"

Oh I should have been more clear. I mean those pointless threads that are full of spam and nothing important, those threads that some guy just digs up because he/she thinks its funny

It really depends on the situation if we give a warning.

If some guy is going on a ressing spree, adding "????" or "gahahaha" comment to every thread in the section, we do send out a warning because he's clearly trying to mess us up.

If some guy is making a semi-relevant post, then we might leave the thread open or post a link to more recent discussion and lock it.

Anyway if you find some thread-ressing disturbing, just make a report and we'll see what we can do =)
