I think there should be Thanks Button ... that will make people (Thanks-Button-whores who will like ti pimp their thanks) well... help more ^^ They would browse more Questions and Answers topics and the whole community would be better... Because I can see really alot of people (Newbies) with alot of questions but noone who will answer them ...

There has been suggestions of adding a reputation system (with a sort of thanks that helped, of the opposite), however most disscussions ended with the verdict being there will be no rep. system added.

Why is that? It cant do something wrong can it?

No, but it's not like it's going to be a GREAT improvement either, nor that it's something we really need.

Just help the noobs, do u really need a THANK button for it?

I'm not saying that I'm not helping them ... I help them everytime I can ... But I'm sure that that will improve community alot ...

The topic ended because the person who wrote and maintained the PHPBB reputation mod quit. Its no longer updated or compatible with the later versions of PHPBB2.

Now on PHPBB3, theres nothing written. Not even a "half ass maintaned and updated" mod for it.

The closest you can find, is a "money system" where reputation gives you credits. Credits can be invested in a mini-market game. And credits can be used to purchase things like, colored user titles. A larger avatar. Or whatever. Just a bunch of silly things (IMO) that we dont really need. Custom colors n stuff kinda defeat the purpose of having colors for mods and such.
