help i can `t chat or make topics at all thanks to this erro

hi i can `t make topics anywhere else but in site discussion and it keeps coming up with this problem...

You must select an avatar and provide a location in your profile to participate on the board.

These can be found under your user profile settings.
If you believe you have recieved this in mistake, please post in Site Discussion.
I don `t know that means, i already select avatar!!

methinks we should take the Location part out, but keep the avatar.

spambots still will be stopped, won't they? most people don't get the location...

or switch out the word 'provide'.
