Can it be added next to a person's name ?

I really can't be arsed anymore to keep going to my profile and adding names. Would much rather prefer to click a button that auto adds it .. have the page refresh and not have to see the little cock in question anymore.

Yours sincerely.

Is there any real point to adding friends or foes in the first place?

Can't see a foe's posts unless you want to. xP That right there is reason enough to add the foe button. Quick, easy, blockage. :D

Well I think something like that could create some unecessary fights or discussions (unless what you do is private and nobody else can see who you added as foe). On the other hand, blocking someone posts and being able to re-add them whenever you want to could be great.

I think that you did not understand the idea of the topic. The Friend/Foe feature already exists and the lists are private. Crumpets' idea is to do it with one click.

I think it's a better idea if the person being added to the foe list gets a notification or something along those lines. Then maybe when that person has like 30 notifications waiting for him in his inbox, he might get a clue.

You can click the profile button at the end of every post of the person you want to block and under his profile picture in the profile page there's an add foe button. I realize that's double the workload you want, but it's efficient and simple enough.

Well it's a bit more than double the workload. It's simple enough to go to someone's profile and add them as a foe (or friend) but then you have to get back to the thread you were reading. It's not really an issue for me because I can just open the user's profile in a new tab (love firefox!), add foe, close tab. Those that don't have tabbed browsing would have to open profile, add foe, and click 'back' a few times to get to the thread.

I suppose it'd be nice to have a feature where you could add foes/friends in-line with the thread and have that thread auto-expand or auto-collapse to show/hide the posts in question. :P

I don't have any foes myself though. I wonder though, if someone adds me as a foe, do they automatically become my foe? (show up on my 'foes' list?)

No, I am almost 99.9% sure that they dont.

Ignorance is bliss.

As for the button, if you find it too much of an effort to go to someone's profile to add them to the foe list, you're probably not hating their guts enough.

I don't really hate anyone, just not a hateful person. I guess that's why I never use the feature :-P
