Hey guys i'm fairly new to Silkroad, i've read posts and guides about SP and how it works etc, but I still don't understand when to farm SP and when not to.
Could someone try and explain when the right time is to do this? or point me in a direction?
Thankyou in advance!

SP farming is not necessarily required, though it will make gaming at a higher level a lot easier.
-For every 400 skill experience, you get 1 skill point (SP)
-Having enough skill points to learn your skills, max them, etc, is highly crucial to your characters development
-Most people when SP farming, do it with a 9 gap, which is the highest you can go. A 9 gap is sort of a short abbreviation for a 9 level mastery gap, which means that your characters level, and your highest mastery level are 9 levels apart. So if your characters level is 16, and your highest mastery level in ALL tress is 7, then you have a perfect 9 gap, which gives you maximum skill experience from monsters, and minimum character experience, delaying your leveling speed.
-The best levels to SP farm are at 16-24-32, since they provide a Seal of; Star, Moon, Sun item. These Seal of Star, Moon, Sun items provide you with a + item character level not shown on the item itself, but applied directly. They each add +5(Star), +10(Moon), +15(Sun). So if you come across a level 16 item, that's a SOS(Seal of Star), then the attributes on the item itself are similiar to that of a level 21 item (16+5). Having these weapons enable you to kill monsters at a faster rate.
Hope that helps, I'll check back in a bit if you have any more questions

Thanks for the fast reply.
Is the mastery level gap between the highest weapon/element mastery level, or the total mastery level?

A level gap is the gap between your highest weapon or element mastery, and your character level.

The monster lvl could be higher than you or lower, depending on your gear. However it is recommended you farm at the monster of the SAME lvl as you. As in...when you farm at lvl 16, kill bandits. When you farm at lvl 32, kill scorpions and so on the concern here is OBTAINING SOX items...is the factor the lvl of the mob? or the lvl of the player[/quote][/b]

ok so with a level 10 in cold and level 10 into pacher (whatever they call it), I SHOULDN'T SP farm by Bandits at level 16 and just go to level 24 with only level 15 in cold and/or whatever else?
Or is 6 levels still ok?
I was asking in another but with this one so similar, I am abandoning that one and just asking in here.
thanks ahead of time
