Realistically, the odds are in your favour.
I'm still cheering for Portugal tho.

Portugal deserved that win.
I might be biased but seriously, I think in a certain way, we won the game. Not by the score, but by our performance and for humilliating the "world champion".

For some reason I want Italy to win against Germany. Monies on the line.

portugal didnt deserve to win as they relied heavily on only one player... but football is seriously getting on my nerves now ill be glad when its gone...
grown men rolling around whilst staring at the ref's just makes football look stupid.
they should introduce a rule, if you dont get up within 5 seconds then you have to be taken off and be medically treated for at least 5 minutes.

Portugal played well but they didn't pose the same amount of threat to Spain's goal as Spain did theirs...especially in extra time. But hats off to them for offering a better challenge than some of the other teams Spain had to face... It went down the wire and couldav went either way.....
Anyways...the pass masters are doing great and I am still happy with their performance. Even if they'd loss to Portugal I'd be OK because I am really loving their style of football....It reminds me of the old Brazil style of football

I agree with this rule...except they'd have to be on the ground for more than 5 seconds and get taken off the field for 3 minutes (Or as long as you need if you are truly hurt).....

I don't know what game you were watching, but the one I was watching was one where Portugal played incredibly messy and only completed like 50% of all passes. It felt like Portugal lost the ball within 5 seconds of getting it. The keeper shot like 5 balls straight out of the field and Portugal had like 3 shots on goal. (I think Ronaldo didn't even have a single shot on target) Portugal didn't deserve to win. That doesn't mean that Spain deserved to win though. If you can't convert a million turn overs into a goal then you're doing something wrong. In the end, both teams played poorly and penalties decided the match fair and square.

A team that creates opportunities for any of its members rather than just the "star players" is the better team in my opinion. I've seen what happens to a team when they've lost their "star player" for a few games due to injury or lost them for good in a trade.

La Squadra Azzura defeated die Mannschaft with 2-1... Nice. I was a little worried for Italy, but they did well.

I was ecstatic with the game yesterday, it was truly a beautiful game to watch, and an amazing performance by Italy.
Cheering for Italy to win this Euro.

Keep in mind that we were playing against the, supposedly, best team in Europe. Shutting down their tiki taka game is enough of an achievement, I'd say.

Spain vs. Portugal was veeerry boring imo, but Portugal did very good, Spain had 57% possession (compared to 60%+ by italy vs. england and they arent even a possession team..) They just made a stupid decision wanting ronaldo to go 5th.. Also..what happened to ballotelli..? Hopefully italy wins vs. spain now..

What some of you guys (as well as a lot of other football fans) call boring football I call brilliant football. Being able to control the pace of the game as well as maintaining ball possession is a mark of true champions. Using the fundamentals of passing to create the advantage is key in this sport. Watching Spain use simple passes in their own 18 yard space to neutralize a threat is amazing. Most other teams would just wildly boot the ball out as a way to remove the threat.
Spain using the same fundamentals of passing in front of their opponent's 18 yard box and finding those tight spaces for a through pass (threading the needle) for a goal scoring chance is just superb. They move very well without the ball to give themselves passing options as well as having a good sense of awareness and field vision and that my friends is top notch football. They are like a well oiled machine. A coach's dream. I'm hoping they win this tournament and if even if they don't you cant deny their efforts.

First half was nice..second half got boring, Italy had to play with 10 ppl, did not deserve 4-0 loss.. Did Chiellini got injured in the beginning? No idea why he wouldnt be playing..

Yes first half was electrifying and second half the pace was slowed...But it was even strength the first half where Italy could have made a difference but didn't. If they didn't deserve a 4-0 loss then they deserve a 2-0 loss

Congrats to Spain: Theirs is the (red) fury. But Italy was really good overall. I loved watching them play, especially Pirlo and Buffon. So many people thought they wouldn't stand a chance at all, and look how far they made it. :(
