Haha...
Me and my mate were happily Silkroading today when all of a sudden, during a nice little sit down in Bar Street of Jangan... a new player ran up to us... and caps-locked the almost inevitable "10k Plýsss!!!!" (I'll save you the torment of it by opting for lower case).
Well... you could've guessed, as with all beggars since we began... gave 'em the usual "shut-up-and-go-grind-it" treatment... AFTER ALL... what is it at most? ... A hundred young tigers here and there... BAM! 10K. The newbie would've earned it honestly and honourably too. But no. He opted for tramp mode... so I had to lay the smack down.
... Well after he left to go bug his next victim... Me and my friend philosophised over the fact that...
"
Why is it always 10K?"
And it took some deep thought... being completely honest.
Then it hit me.
10,000 gold. Why would a newbie need... 10,000 gold?
The 1st hypothesis: To buy a weapon?
- No because same level weapons come flying at you if you go the quest route (as you should early on).
The 2nd hypothesis: To get gear?
- Nah... can't be... you get that stuff anyway, right?
Then we were stumped. Rondoing supplies... nope. Voids are cheap...
Then we thought a little deeper.
We then theorized that... its down to multiclienters/or otherwise... users using two or more computers... sell their stuff on one... grind with the other. We've all heard of it. Possibly a few of us dabbled.
Even so, my point is. A "newbie" would therefore need 10K because he/she's fully suited and booted with all the nice SOX items and elements in his/her storage his/her high level "friend" has grinded for... and he needs to get somewhere. But he/she forgot to plop a bit of "helper cash" into the storage

!!!
Now you ask where?
A "newbie" spawns in Jangan. As we all know. The best place to sell high level SOX and elements/tabs is... Hotan... where all the high levellers are.
"Well duh," I hear you say.
But the thing is this... Mr/Ms "newbie" here can't risk going horseback from Jangan to Hotan.. for he/she has no money for transport pots... or the strength to take on the deadly foe (lol) that cross his/her path.
One would surely get his/her ass handed to him/her.
So he decides to teleport... JG ----> DW ----> HT

"... but I no moneýýýý?!"
Of course this route requires the lump sum of 10,000 gold.
Sooooo... in conclusion - the likely theory is that... some high levellers make the noob mistake of NOT sticking transport cash into the storage (or trading it) when they multi-client... and therfore resort to begging for this specific amount.
PS: All a bit of light-hearted fun. Hope you enjoy the read.
Disclaimer: Of course my theory has no relevant proof; the hypothesis hasn't been tested statistically; no collection of data has occured... if you decide to take this all literally... I accept none of any complaint you may make for "exposing" any beggars in SRO.
EDIT: Request: Just realised I posted in wrong forum. (S***)... Please can this be moved to GD if possible, thanks!
