Bard if you want to run fast and be able to grind without getting gangbanged

cleric if you want to 1vs1 without going invisible.

Cleric is better for pvp/jobbing. Bard is better for pve.

Hmm, well, basicly Bard is for Pve and cleric is for PvP. At least that's the common understanding for a rogue. But if you're only gonna take daggers, take the cleric. Daggers get much more out of cleric than xbow does (xbow get's more out of bard)

If you're not one of these idiots who think that using Stealth = girly, weak or whatever, pick Bard, makes no sense to take Cleric for better survivability if you can just 1 hit your enemy without them being able to do anything about it.

Yes, I agree that in pure PvP bard is even more usefull. But what about jobs? You're in for some trouble if you're a thief and and you just killed some merchants (you can take them by surprise). But how about the next 5 minutes before you can get to bandit town? Then cleric would be way more usefull.

They die and when they come back you are back in stealth, they only see your animal with the loots so common sense is they are gonna try to take it down. In this time you kill the hunter again and kill everyone else. I have seen rogues kill 2-5 people with bard because they move so fast. You just gotta be good at timing your kill. Remember, Rogues are assasins.

There are many benefits of having bard. You don't have to spend gold on moving speed potions and also you can kill mobs quicker. You can also move faster in stealth which makes it so you can catch trades easier (if thief). Less sp than cleric. My favorite, you can run away from people who want to kill you!

These advantages are easily outweighed by the cleric sub. As for the gold you don't have to buy moving potions to be good at pvp. You can take giants more easily with bless while in xbow extreme or dagger desperate. Recovery division helps there as well. If you are a smart thief you won't have to catch up to the trade, the trade will have to catch up to you.

By that I mean who can't buy a horse? Anticipate the trades movement and wait.

As a rogue player who was hesitant on which sub to go at first. I now know that cleric is the best choice for me. After getting bard to 40 then deleveling it, I figured it out.

(edit) @ the person above me... you do realize that npc hunters do spawn??? As for the big tactic of stealth... completely wasted when you have a horse sitting there with your name above it... hmm that's odd I wonder where the thief must be.

The hunter will probably think that the thief ran away, died and is in town or whatever, i don't mean to offend anyone on this forum but folks in silkroad are not exactly the clever type, only a very small percentage of people will realise that there is an invisible Rogue somewhere near. And even if the hunter does use the invisible detect spell, the Rogue will see it, and he will attack right away so the hunter won't even have time to set up an Ice Wall or stun/KD etc...

i mean invisible horse too... spawns wont attack you

unless people pk2 edit, it works fine :S and if they do, cleric wont save you anyways

Bard. Cleric is more for warriors. Take bard for noise and for moving march, so you can move faster when you have stealth on.

I like cleric myself cause it is better in parties and pvp. It can also be very helpful in solo pve cause RD and holy word help a lot.
