I need a new laptop - Good for schoolwork and powerful

Hey guys..My acer laptop is getting kinda slow etc and my brother is gonna buy me a new one

Anyone got any good brands/models they can tell me about?

I need a laptop that's good for school + taking notes in class etc..I want something light, with reaaallly good cooling cause i hate having the thing on my lap when it heats up..makes me feel like im becoming infertile haha

Also something good for gaming i guess? I want a fast computer with good RAM. He says he will buy me anything for 1200 USD or cheaper..

The first one seems ok, but do you know the price on it? I didn't see it upfront

The second one seems alright for gaming, but it has no specs on the graphics card...you're gonna want an independent graphics card for gaming (Nvidia Series 7000's, but 6150 works fine for SRO)

lol the first one has a Centrino proceesor, no way hose eh that would be horrible getting that, get atleast a duo core
