Hey guys ... I have a little bit problems ... I'm currently in safe mode writing this to you (woho , win98 style ftw xD- resolution 800x600 on 19 inch monitor xD) ... anyway ... I think I kinda overused my GFX card ... I opened shitloads of programs ... and games ... and my PC just shutted down ... Then I restarted it ... And all the letters are pink-whiteish ... even bios has some mixed colors ... Anyway... it can run in safe mode ... but I can't run in normal mode ... it just comes to part when it boots windows and the screen goes blank and it doesnt turn off ... it just stays like that ... hehe ... anyway ... any ideas except buying new Graphic card? Any help would be appreciated Thanks

And all the letters are pink-whiteish ... even bios has some mixed colors Usually when that occurs, the video card itself is the problem. Is it hot in your room? Try opening the case, leaving it off for half an hour, then try it again. Also, consider re-seating the card to make sure it is securely in the slot. If you have onboard video, I think you are out of luck.

I mean I am always dowloading something tru night , stalling and stuff ... so yeah ... What should I do? ... I started to like safemode EDIT: Tell me , can I even start my PC without GFX? I mean does Grafic Card effect BIOS and -pre-booting-windows- time? I will leave my PC turned off tru night ,with open case ... and will try to reset , the graphic card on its normal position , if its wrong ... I dont feel like to do it now ... Any more info you wanna share with me? Thanks

Leaving your PC off - should only need to do it for maybe 10 minutes, then try it again. If you still get the BIOS screen with screwy colors, I'd say your video card has kicked the bucket. However - and it's a big however - sometimes you can flash the BIOS on the card itself. I don't know the model of your card, so can't say for sure. I tried it with my 9600 Pro years ago when it did exactly what you're describing (discolored letters, no games work).

My temerature is 33*C ... Seems normal to me ... I really dont know ... it happens when I start some game ... Like after 5 minutes of playing SRO ... (on min graphic) ...
What should I do ... what should I buy? And yeah it DOES NOT Crash ... the screen goes blank or stuff ... but its still working ... It doesnt turn itself off ... I need to do it manually ... after I do that everything is normal until I start some game again ...

This has happened with two ATI cards I've had so far, is yours ATI also? I didn't see you post what it was..

Thanks EDIT: Crashed again ... gg ... now even colours in safe mode are mixed ... :S That means your card at some point got so hot it damaged the graphics processor internally. 2d doesn't use the pixel shaders, texture maps, etc so you don't get the corruption. But eventually that card seems like it is going to fail completely. Just for grins, did you reseat the card in the slot?
