Lmao, you think all non botters have been 100% legit to not buy gold.
I honestly doubt that. I know alot of people who didnt bot and still bought gold to get the expensive sox items.
And im sure alot of new players who start and need a quick cash probably buy a tiny bit of gold.
It might not be much, but if u add up every bit who starts off new it adds up to alot of $/gold.

Player bots might be the ones who buy gold the least amount. Seeing as they probably have there own gold bots running around.

Last nite in penons, i saw a player leveling 32 gold bots...funny thing was they were lvl <10.

Any bot bans are good but how many new account are remade after one ? They need to stop new accounts after a ban for a time and the real players to start reporting the ones left. Weeding them out but this would mean joymax doing some work in the long run it would mean more real players = more chance to sell silk = more profits

yea you can affored expensive items without botting, i call it stalling 2/47. You dont make money when you bot, you make money when you stall.

Also, almost everyone buy gold online not just botters but non botters as well.

I hate trying to connect to the silkroad website. Its as bad as trying to connect to the server. Always getting the error message.

I don't support bots in anyway, but If I understanding you I agree. If you have to choose between player bots, or gold bots, who would you choose? I would most definatley choose players. I'm really liking all of these ban lists. It's amazing to see almost all servers in green status at only 6:30 PM Eastern Time. Venice is usually locked down tight 23.5/7

I have to say that this is quite an effort they are making. Yeah, its long overdue, but having all servers green; especially Babel, which I hear from guildmates as the worst server (next to Xian, of course I've never played there though; its all just what I hear) in the entire Silkroad community in terms of how bad traffic is due to goldbots; anyways, having all the servers green is a pretty damn good sign for a small company like Joymax. Now if they can just keep it up, I would be impressed.

It's not the massive bot bans that are a problem. The bans themselves are great. How many were banned? Tens of thousands within the last 2 or 3 bans recently?

The problem is bot prevention, not bot detection. They detect and ban bots, but they need a good process for preventing new ones entering the system in the first place. Gameguard would help. Server-side logic checks on character movement would help as well.

i completely agree. i think this would deffinately make the players happy, and satisfy joymax's greed
